How the hell is Hartford hard to get to from Bradley?
Well, depending on how you leave the actual airport, you have to make anywhere from 0 turns (if you don't count merging as a turn, I don't) to maybe 2 or 3, if you have to pick up a rental car, so...

That's the truth. iirc and I can't remember the recruit's name but we lost a top recruit when her dad slipped on ice and broke a leg.
That was the center who wound up at Stamford, Jayne Appel.

They don’t, but family and friends do. I think the facilities, location, ease of travel, hotels all play a small role. Her family will need to travel to see her play if she chooses UConn. Hartford is not easy to get to from any town USA. Sometimes it is the little things they push a decision one way or the other.

Nonsense. She's from Texas, right? You can fly non-stop from Bush Intercontinental to Bradley in about 3 hours, 20 minutes.

I'd guess if staying close to home so her family could see most of her games was a priority, she wouldn't likely be leaving Texas and visiting schools 2,000 miles away.

Hello. I’m new here. I’ve been a UCONN fan since 1973 and and women’s basketball fan from day one. I must say that this is an aggressive group. I opened with a few posts and some people got a bit testy. I want Prince to choose UCONN, but not every recruit does and for a variety of reasons. I have no insight into what Prince is thinking. I was just suggesting some items that might play a role. I clearly wasn’t talking about getting from the airport to the XL Center. Any one suggesting that is just plain silly. There are, however, certain airports that are harder to get to, and more expensive with fewer flights per day than some of the main hubs. I fly to Knoxville from Newark and know that Knoxville is one of those airports. But it sure is easy getting into town from the airport in Knoxville. Anyway, I hope Prince picks UCONN. I hope Geno figures out a rotation that keeps the players happy so they don’t transfer out. I hope we go on a run and win another 4 in a row.

Picture obtained from the internet.

Hopefully this pic is telling us something special. Don’t mind me...just WISHFUL THINKING!!!;)
Actually, I think it does tell us something. This is the introductory photo on Sedona’s twitter page, which would typically be a photo someone feels is important. In this instance the photo is of Sedona and her USA basketball teammates last summer. And yes that’s Liv standing right next to her and Christyn taking a knee right in front of her.

I'm not sure why there's an argument over the distance between Prince's hometown and potential college destination when she specifically said that distance wasn't a factor when she committed to Texas the second time.

I'm in the Upstate of South Carolina and if Dabo Swinney can get all these top ranked players to come to Clemson, then ND, UConn, and North Idaho College can too. Travel is far from an issue and not worth the time it has taken on this post IMO.

And Anaya Peoples (now of the Fighting Irish) right next to Christyn! :D

If she goes on the visit to ND I’ll be pleasantly surprised if she comes to UCONN. But with Sedona’s history of recommitting to Texas who knows. No matter where she ends up I just hope she’s healthy. I want to her back on that court fully healthy.

For what it’s worth the poster states the information comes from an ND site. Doesn’t say which site or who the source is. I’ll wait for Dillon or Orangutan to confirm it before I get too excited about this news flash.

Excited? I would not use that word. Given MM’s habit of negativity I shudder to think what she will say and how lucky SP was to escape us heathens in Connecticut.

I didn't know that North Idaho College had gotten involved in this recruiting sweepstakes. I do think it's safe to say that whether or not travel matters, getting in and out of Coeur d'Alene is significantly tougher than any of Prince's likely choices. ;)

My point is only that Sedona’s visit to UConn was confirmed by a reliable UConn beat reporter who quoted her mom. This visit to ND is confirmed by an anonymous poster quoting an unnamed site.

Whew, I was worried @Dillon77 had turned you to the green side. That’s how it starts, they slowly infiltrate us, reaching out for visits to Brooklyn and our fine colleague @JordyG and then they want you to look into their eyes. DON’T DO IT!
