Alexa Hart basically hugged Harris of Purdue when the Boilermakers were taking the ball out of bounds.

On an inbounds call, the Ohio St literally hugged Purdue's worst foul shooter. As in wrapped her arms all the way around the player's back, clasped them, and held them there.

It doesn't rise to the flagrant 1, so it wasnt an "intentional foul" according to current rules, but it clearly was intentional .
 
South Florida better win tonight or they could be a lil nervous on selection day.

They better be glad I'm not on the selection committee :rolleyes: :p
 
OSU still can't play defense. Or they don't know how to play defense. Take your pick.

Well, they learned the "hugging foul" from Destiny Slocum of Maryland, who in the Ohio State game was very literally hugging the OSU player that Brenda wanted to take the free throws.

I had no desire to see a Bridgeport bracket with Duke as #1, Alcorn St #2, Hampton #3, ...

To be honest, even with a win I'm not convinced they're safe. Tulane's late-season slide means that USF is left with only one top-50 win (over Temple). It's just a damn good thing that the bubble sucks this year. In other years that resume wouldn't be good enough.
 
I didnt think MD would get a #2, but Ohio St's loss seals it I think.
With a win tonight and tmow, the Terps will finish 6-2 against the RPI 50, but just 1-2 against the RPI 25.

And this is why I really think a team like Duke will be moved ahead of MD. Duke is 5-2 vs. RPI top 25, 9-3 vs. top 50.

Another huge ramification of this result is that OSU will likely drop from the last hosting spot. Oklahoma or DePaul or someone else could overtake them.

Last? Who do you have as #15? Those final 2 spots have seemed up for grabs.
Despite today, that big win over MD is a very nice mark on their resume.
 
So much for "Coates will be out rest of the season."
Coates just checked in late in the 3rd just as KY has closed within 4.
 
Anyone who is wondering about Kentucky being a top 16--watch now!!

They may not win but they are scrappy and play with so much toughness. That Kentucky coaching staff has done a great job this year.
 
Holy cow. Kentucky goes on a 13-2 run and closes the deficit to 2. This is one very resilient ball club. Epps and Akhator are warriors.

I have Kentucky at #15: three wins over the RPI top 25 compared to just one for OSU. And KY's win over Miss St. is better in the committee's eyes than OSU's win over MD.

Why risk putting her in?? I don't understand. So what if you lose?? Your still gonna be a top seed!!!
 
Oh man, Coates just fell to the ground clutching her ankle.

She clearly wasn't 100% before the game. She was limping in shootaround. I don't know why the decision was made to play her.

Would be a fun game, but in all likelihood they'll be on opposite sides of the bracket. Baylor will be overall #2 or #3, South Carolina #4 or #5.
