Saturday's conference-tournament bonanza

Wow. Purdue shooting less than 40% from the field overall but 73% (8 of 11) from 3. They are literally shooting their way into the NCAA tournament.

Purdue has some good frosh. It would be nice to see them return to being a national program.

Ohio State just looks lost. Here we go heading into 4th with Boilermakers leading 53-42!

Ohio State has the horses to be dominant but they just aren't.

Morrissette is I believe their top scorer and she graduates. But Oden is a frosh and has 18 in this game.

Actually, they may want another crack. Last chance for them to make a favorable impression. Beating Purdue wont do that.

Unbelievable that Maryland's final two opponents in the Big Ten tournament might be Minnesota and Purdue.

I heard the annoncers refer to a freshman-to-freshman pass. I checked the roster, and they have 2 senior starters (morrisette and perry). But the rest of the top 8 include 1 junior and 5 soph/frosh. So they may finally be on their way up.

Morrisette looks very very good.

I think they rather beat Purdue than take another L from the Buckeyes ;):p:D

Darn you Ohio state Head bang

Purdue has come out of nowhere as a threat for an at-large bid. In the nonconference they lost to Maine, Villanova, Southern Illinois and IUPUI. Until about a week ago, their RPI was stuck in the 90s. They're now at #65, and if they win this game it will probably rise to the 50s. If they can hang on here, this will be Purdue's 7th consecutive win. Hard to see the committee keeping them out at that point, considering how weak the bubble is.

Creme had them as 5th team out. Easy to see them moving in.

Lots of talk about the "Power 5" conferences, but this year in wbb it's more of a "Power 4". Lots of separation between the other 4 and the Big Ten.

Watching the end of this game, I'm flashing back to last night and Washington. In each case, if Kelsey stops scoring...the wheels come off.

Ohio State shockingly casual on D for a team that ought to be trying to making a comeback.

If the rules don't call that an intentional foul then the rules need to be redone.

I don't get the Big Ten Network (the one major deficiency in Sling TV) -- someone please describe who fouled whom and how?

The NCAA really needs to do something about these intentional off-ball fouls in late-game scenarios.
