Saturday's conference-tournament bonanza

The umm flopping girls of Stanford up next <<cough cough>>

I will be really surprised to see Oregon get this one. Stanford will be too much and they are pros at drawing fouls.

OSU did luck out that UCLA did not hit a lot of 3's today.

Four out of 23 definitely counts as not hitting a lot of 3's.

Congrats on a great win. Oregon State has really defied expectations this year.

Wasn't Mallory McGwire the player Gabby Williams dad was trying to get UCONN staff to look at from Nevada?

She is a good post player.

.........and that's what I mean........to the free throw line she goes...

Stanford takes a 2 point lead at the half on a last second shot and questionable calls in favor of the Cardinal. 36-34

Where is Bando? She wrecked UW last night, she has yet to score tonight. 5-7 behind the arc yesterday and hasn't even attempted 1 so far against Stanford.

She is barely even getting touches. Stanford has a player stuck to her like glue at all times.

Tale of two quarters. Are the Ducks spent playing their 3rd day in a row or can they regroup for the 2nd half?

Stanford's D really took its tool in the 2nd quarter and Oregon's offense really jammed up.

Maybe UW should've tried that. I've been watching bits and pieces of various games all night, didn't see much of the 1st half of this one. I'll tune in to the 2nd half.

But UW isn't the defensive juggernaut that Oregon State and Stanford are. They just don't have a perimeter shutdown game to stop both Ionescu and Bando when both are clicking.

And really, if it wasn't for those last 2 minutes of the half when Stanford went on a 10-2 run, Oregon would be looking a heckuva lot better.

That's true. They've been solid defensively this year but got hurt by the Ducks guards last night both shooting from the perimeter and driving.

Dangit, I missed half of the 3rd quarter, just spaced out.

Stanford has gotten buckets right at the end of the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Maybe that's not that big of a deal but it seems like those count for a little bit more than just 2 points.

53-47 Stanford, 4th quarter coming up.

Oregon is 4-5 behind the 3 point arc. They need to try to hoist a few more of those.

Stanford w/ 4 offensive rebounds in 1 possession to start the 4th quarter, but get 0 points out of it.

Johnson and McCall have combined for 21 points and 22 rebounds, both have double doubles.

Stanford leading 64-51 w/ 3 1/2 minutes left, Ducks running out of time. McPhee has scored 6 straight.

Bando just fouled out w/ only 3 points, after scoring 23 last night. Hebard has been really held in check too, 4 points on 1-9 shooting. The Stanford bigs have really worked over the young Ducks.

Benches cleared. Stanford up 68-53 w/ 1:30 left.
