Lol. The immediate confusion has worn off. Now I feel slightly violated.

Wait until he bills you for his advice!

Edit: Strange that that picture appeared in my reply to you but not in your post.

Lol.

And I edited in the photo because the black eye he sustained during the Big East tournament epitomizes Roscoe's grit and selflessness. Wanted to avoid any confusion this time :)

I would love those 11 rebounds a game he's getting right now.

A 3-5 lineup of Scoe, DD and Nolan/Amida would be a nice to roll out

Yes, if we had Roscoe to play PF this would be an awesome team.

.-.
As they won by 3 vs Nebraska-Omaha ... they missed close to 49 shots not including free throws.

Still averaging 14.7 rebs. Maybe your inference is correct and Roscoe is a very overrated rebounder. On the other hand he seemed to be rebounding like a kid who feared that a failure to board would result in a full blown water balloon attack against him.

Hey what do I know. Maybe 50 rebs was the standard to be used for a good rebounding game.

Thanks for schooling me on the game of hoops. It was truly a humbling experience. ;)

I am not rooting for him at all. Unfortunately I can't remove my blue goggles for that 1.

Kentan Facey maybe the next Roscoe Smith? Give Kelis Fisher a few months. He will be a starter by early March. And Roscoe will shine up in UNLV. I hope UNLV make it to the NCAA. I have always liked Roscoe both as a player & person. I hope his senior year will be his greatest year in CBB leading to, at the minimum, a late 2nd-round NBA draft pick.

No water balloons coming from here!

Roscoe has 13 boards in the 1st half alone right now against Az State, game is on CBS Sports Network. This is also a good chance to see Jahii Carson, who is one of the most exciting players in CBB.

Good God.

I'll try to take solace in knowing Facey doesn't come if Roscoe is here as I watch him develop over the next four years, but damn if that isn't our short-term missing piece 3000 miles away.

Yea I'm rooting for him, but its hard watching him and not thinking about what could be when he literally looks like a college version of Rodman out here. He's swallowing boards in and out of his area.

Honestly, I feel like prank-calling Calhoun's house right now.

Smith is grabbing every rebound within 25 miles of Las Vegas and we had to jackass him around two year years ago.

Egads, what a mistake. Smith has more rebounds tonight than any Husky, save Bazz, has for the entire year.

Yea, forget even AO, JC had Tyler out there gobbling up minutes at PF that should've went to Roscoe. Dude looks like a complete animal out there. This is a great game btw, alot of action going on. If ya'll have never seen Carson because he plays on the west coast, he's worth staying up for.

Except, wait a minute, I thought he wanted to go showcase his perimeter abilities. Are you telling me he went to UNLV, and sat out a year, only to wind up playing the exact same position he would have played for us? Who ever saw that coming?

.-.
Calhoun had a bad habit in the last few years of opting for security blankets at times - Gavin Edwards and Tyler Olander were two largely limited players who got more minutes than they would have if they'd shown up ten years earlier.

That Tyler got almost 18 minutes a game that season was just nuts - our penance for that bit of idiocy is watching Roscoe Smith collect basketballs like he thinks they're made of gold.

He left because he got dicked around and UConn was heading for NCAA's black hole.

Every time by browser refreshes, Roscoe has another rebound.

Wow, Roscoe looks like a full grown man out there grabbing everything in sight. Good on him.

Also, I know this is his 4th year in college (3rd year playing), but damn, he's put on a lot of muscle over the last 18 months since we last saw him at UConn. Thing is, he's not the first transfer to leave UConn and then completely re-transform their body at their new school. Has Ollie brought in a new strength and conditioning guy? Because whoever Calhoun was using his last few years wasn't really doing a great job.

Roscoe has 18 points and 21 rebounds.

Any motherf---er who tries to explain that away will get banned for the rest of time.

Oh, and, ah, that Jahii Carson is plain ridiculous - he's just smoking UNLV.

I'm pretty sure they now have someone that was brought in from the University of Alabama, and yea, the S&T coach for Mizzou immediately going to work on AO's body when he got there wasn't a good look for the methods that were being used here.

43 f'in rebounds in two games. Daniels, Nolan, Brimah, and Olander have combined for 35 rebounds all season. Not only would he pretty much eradicate our rebounding woes, but he could also bang on the block with stronger fours in ways that Giffey and Olander cannot. We have an elite offense right now; if Roscoe were here, we'd have an elite defense, too. Imagine how ridiculously stingy a Napier-Giffey-Daniels-Smith-Brimah lineup would have been. Sigh.

Roscoe is tearing it up and we sure could use his rebounding but I don't understand how Calhoun dicked him around, was Oriakhi dicked around as well?

Both were dicked around, primarily thanks to the late addition of Drummond. But DD wouldn't be DD without their leaving. Roscoe would not be playing the 5, so I'm not sure why folks think he'd be a huge upgrade. Me, I'm confident going to war with Deandre at the 4.

Both were dicked around because they moped, sucked and were crappy players here 2 years ago - pretty simple. You tend to get "dicked around" when you play crappy too at most places. Whoever this Roscoe is conograts to him and I wish he had the balls to be that guy 2 years ago instead opting to be a "3" who can't shoot, dribble or pass!!

Love the Monday morning QB's......

Having said my piece his rebounding would be more than welcome. But he wasn't doing that coming out of the gate 2 years ago. Birch also had 14 rebounds from UNLV...........we recruited him too. Good story on Roscoe NOW and I hope both guys are happy as they probably will have a tough time finding the NIT this year..........

Roscoe as a freshman was already a key defensive player. He was spectacular in the final 4, esp. the championship game.
