Rodney Purvis transfer rumour

I've tried to change. Can't figure out how

Samuel is a tall 6'3", might even be 6'4". He has a really tight handle and can really get into the lane. I spoke with a scout at a game and said he has a really advanced passing game for his age. His shot needs work, yes. But with all the offensive weapons we're surrounding him with (Calhoun, Facey, Daniels, hopefully Black/Hill/Carrington) there is a good chance he averages 7+ assists per game by his senior year.

I have to admit it's entertaining to watch people try and project a lineup for 2015.

It's also entertaining to see people trying to assume that Boatright will be a member of that hypothetical team.

its entertaining to think that you assume boatright will go pro. It's quite easy to go to NBAdraft.net or Draftexpress.com and see projections for 2014. Is boatright on there? No. Why? because he is not an NBA player. A great college player, but not an NBA player.

I'm not assuming he goes pro. College basketball is now a one season at a time sport. The turnover makes any projection past the next season pointless.

You are throwing the word great around pretty loosely though.

I see what you're saying. I'll correct myself, he CAN be great. I would say this past season he was "good".

Regardless, i'm just always hoping for the best. All things aside, let's focus on next year and our run at getting to Cowboy Stadium.

I can't recall a guy ranked outside the top 100 who came here and really was a stud, but of course rankings don't matter

This was prior to the new league where we face crap teams like ECU, Tulane regularly and not Cuse, Pitt, Nova, GTOwn, Marquette or ND

The specutweeting is killing me. One guy is saying a decision should be made by the weekend after a 1on1 with Gottfried. Im not sure what to believe. But saying UConn would be the destination...

wow...this 'rumor' is really getting legs...i read the tweets by the guy that seems to know his stuff and yeah he said 1on1 with Gottfried and then a decision will be coming before the weekend. Gottfried can easily give him PT next season though which is what purvis wants...would love the kid here hopefully it happens but still going to be pessimistic...

I read a story on a North Carolina website that said Gottfried had already met with Purvis.

unless he hates Gottfried I don't see why he would transfer. With all the guys leaving he would get all the PT and shots he wants, plus he's delaying his potential pro career by a year. Not that I wouldn't love to have him but you don't usually see a top 20/McDonalds All American kid make that kind of move.

I don't know what you people are talking about, but if you're not worried about our backcourt in 2019, you're out of your duck*ing minds.

I think worrying about college sports is a little weird. Interested, yup worried, nah. I'm worried I won't be alive in 2015 Then again, checking the BY every 5 minutes qualifies me as weird, or so my wife says when she isn't watching Say Yes To The Dress.

so I just read the latest tweet by this guy @UnclePen1 saying its all but a done deal, is he legit?

FWIW, Emeka was right around #100. (I think Craig Forth was #94 that year.)

I think a change of scenery and playing for a guard oriented coach like Ollie would benefit Purvis. His athleticism is top notch and a year practicing behind Boatwright and Napier would do him a world of good.
