Why?
Same position?
Why?
Is Rutgers a low major? Hilton, on the other hand, chose between UConn and Iona.

Someone needs to come in here and throw some cold water on this party. Where is BurnBros to tell us that Purvis isn't really that good and we shouldnt waste a schollie on him?
I would take Purvis. No cold water here. I'm really sorry I said I did not want Jaren Sina you must HAVE been a big fan of his.
I couldn't care less about that particular player. I'm just making the point that when someone's opinion fails to vary time and time again, it ceases to have any real value.
Ok guys I don't like Sina and Lavine. Recruiting neither. Guys I like Carrington Peak Hill Black Abu Pascal. All better big guy?

Yes, Rutgers is a low-major. Hell, even Central goes to the NCAA tournament every now and again.
Josh actually was 'guided' to prep school by UConn and Maryland who were both interested to the point where Boone was comfy in passing on RU for a better deal down the road.
Hilton picked UConn over LaSalle and Illinois.
I lost the point of this thread three pages ago. I feel lost - not even sure why I am responding.
Same position?
Guy says they should hear something on Purvis by next weekend. Odd that guys from Scout or Zag haven't heard anything or commented So I, like some, will take this with a grain of salt..
Wasn't OC trying to get Purvis to join him? Anyway, as you know mau, there isn't a difference between the 2 and the 3. With Shabazz, and possibly Boat gone, what would be the issue?
Yup and that happened today. That is way more telling than Purvis following Boatright and vice versa. If you look at who KO follows, he follows players that he is recruiting so this is a great sign. Also, Purvis and Boatright were talking to each other on twitter a few hours ago.Again, TIFWIW, but Ollie just started following Purvis on twitter.

FWIW, Duffy just followed Purvis on twitter. I was thinking about why Purvis wasn't following KO but another school, if he decides to transfer, can say Kevin Ollie committed violations by talking to Purvis while he was still at his signed school. They can't have contact until he is released of his LOI and officially out at NC State. The situation was also made clear to me today by the person that started all of these rumors. He said that Purvis is still exploring all of his options still. Then he said if he transfers it not definitely to UConn however, he said KO feels he has a great chance. Also Gottfried is trying to patch things up so he stays at NC State. We should know within the next week.
I understand what you are saying but I'm not talking about the normal feed. I'm talking about the direct messages that coaches and players send to each other. Once a National Letter of Intent is signed, prospective student-athletes are no longer subject to further recruiting contacts and calls. Since Purvis is signed with NC State he cannot have contact with other coaches about him transferring because he is still signed with NC State. They changed the rules recently, not at all certain that twitter is anything like texting or a phone call. I thinkit's not. It's a news feed when you break it down to its essence. There is really the NCAA could do to stop Ollie from following what players broadcast to the world. So, not a violation.

You can look at it like this: I will use Kendal Yancy-Harris' situation. He was signed with USC and since the coach was fired he asked for his release. At that time college coaches still couldn't contact him yet. They couldn't until USC officially released him.

Ohhhhh. In that case there is nothing wrong at all.I realize that. I wasn't under the impression, however, that Ollie is communicating with him. I thought he had simply followed him. There's a big difference between the two.
Seems like there is a ton of smoke here. Starting to get cautiously optimistic about this. Would be a huge get.
This isn't your typical transfer where he sucked and didn't play. He was very good for a frosh.
