I don't think anyone said thatBut the Big East wasn’t going to help recruitment!

Yes, someone did! The remark hasn't aged well.I don't think anyone said that

I had literally the same reaction when the news was official. This staff is awesome. In the Athletic article Diggins said that when he committed Hurley and Moore just kept screaming let’s go over the phone. I love our coaching staff.
Has the makings of a great college PG. What I like about our recent signings is that they have NBA potential just like when Calhoun recruited.
Can only help. Everyone wants to play with a good PG (aside from other PGs, which Hawkins is not)This is a nice get - where does this leave UConn with Hawkins?
To put things in perspective. In Dan Hurley first 2 full years on the job to recruit, he convinced 2 heavy Syracuse leans, one basically in their back yard to come to UConn.
Then he goes and grabs Seton Halls priority target out of Jersey. (Without ever even visiting)
Then he grabs a Villanova target right out of Philly....
Other fab bases say “he hasn’t put anyone into the NBA in college”..... well if that’s your strongest pitch against the guy right now!?!? I CANT WAIT, to see our classes 3-4 years down the line.
brand is still strong & the future is equally bright.
I REALLY like where this is headedGood news comes in twos.![]()
You nailed it.
And the NBA argument won't be valid much longer (Bouk).
Hurley and staff are building something really special.
To be fair, we had a nationally rated top 5 recruiting class in the AAC. We're not at that level yet. But if you want to wet yourself with joy, feel free. Not for nothing, but that is 100% correct. The staff was already doing a good job on the recruiting trail, but once the Big East move was announced, they just took it to another level...and everybody in the business has noticed this.
Calhoun had been a coach for about 25 years before he was recruiting at this level. Hurley is on track for a Hall of Fame career.
Although he had been wanting to commit sooner, his father told him to wait a few weeks to make sure it wasn’t just an emotional decision. UConn kept checking in, which closed the deal, Rahsool Diggins Sr. said.
Where is the dislike button when you need it? Fantastic job by Hurley and staff - let’s keep 2016 out of this...we’ve turned a new page.To be fair, we had a nationally rated top 5 recruiting class in the AAC. We're not at that level yet. But if you want to wet yourself with joy, feel free.

Oh yes they did, one of the dunces just showed his face.I don't think anyone said that
Thanks, Chief.Congratulations to the staff. More to come!
Chief has been preaching -trust in the grind to our beloved Casual Fans, who want the instant First Night type gratification. But, that’s not competitive basketball. Good daily habits and a mindset of focused shared goals. It’s more than a catchy slogan, it’s a way of life. It can be lots of fun too! .
