Providence Post Game Thread

That was 37 minutes of uneven basketball by UConn, followed by 7 minutes of absolute championship hoops.

After that behind the back gem of a layup by Ryan Mila, it was pretty much all UConn.

(edited) After re-watching the last 3 minutes of the 2nd half and the 5 minute overtime, PC certainly made their share of big time plays. UConn simply made more, got a few lucky bounces and made a lot less mistakes than the Friars. What a signature come from behind win!

Why did Hurley get T’d up at the beginning of the second half?

Down but never out. What a comeback. I know our defense was terrible but I don’t understand how Providence is 8-7 with that shot making

I think Mullins’ shooting is OK, no @HooperScooper 😉
An emphatic yes! He puts up some crazy shots but I will take 6-10 from three and 8-14 overall any day of the week and twice on Sunday!

I think he deserves his own thread after that performance because we haven't seen many like it in our history.

He's not our most talented player but I think he's our best player because he does it on both ends. He's incredible on defense and one of the best guard defenders I can remember coming through here as long as he's not fouling.

Still not sure if that was a good or bad performance tonight, I think mostly good with really poor effort at times. But this is a championship team
We got killed on 50/50 balls and letting nobodies nail threes. It was basically a D- effort (outside of silas and mullins) until the last few minutes and OT. Huge momentum win though. I think they'll learn a lot from it without having to add to the loss column

Does anyone know the single game UConn assist record?? Can’t be much more than 15?
According to Perplexity it was Marcus Williams with 16 in 2004.
