Providence Post Game Thread

I can't believe I couldn't watch this ... but I was TRYING to work while following the gamecast on ESPN... getting more frustrated by the minute, then suddenly it's 6, 4, 2 point game, and then I see "end of 2nd half" I'm like whaaaaaa

I can't wait to watch some highlights. Seems like Silas was our best player for most of the game and Braylon obviously hit some big shots too.

But...giving up close to 90 in regulation to PC? The defense couldn't have been good.

Hurley just admitted he can't normally win close games. Lol.

Four players with 20+ points.

Mullins and Demary officially earned their Huskies stripes.

What a game.

I know Stewart won't get the acclaim as he only had 3 points but he was huge on big hustle plays and playing great D. He allowed us to play without Ball. What a game by him and Demary, Mullins. Dawgs. Demary coming out party for sure. He is just solid and he needs to take control of the game. He is the only player who can really find his own offense right now. Mullins will eventually.

As disgusted as I was at points watching that game... God that was fun to watch. What a comeback to boot. Incredible game from Silas, 23 points and 15 dimes is insane.

It's games like this that made me love basketball when I was a little kid.

Silas just had his Kemba performance. One of the best perfomances we've ever had from a point guard at UConn and we are the best point guard school in the country.

Some of the best defense you'll ever see. 23 points 15 assists, just 1 turnover, 4 steals and the game winner.

The whole team lacked composure tonight except for Silas. We get run off the court if it wasn't for him.

And for any people still thinking Mullins will be here for a second season, you're crazy.

Yeah Mullins is gone. His shot and movement is so smooth and effortless. I loved when Demary chatted briefly when bringing up the ball in the back court to Mullins and said we are running the play for your shot and he made that 3 in OT. Huge!

We looked slow and soft in the first half. Improved the D in the second half and were more efficient and effective on offense. The star power of UConn, Mullins, Demary, Reed, and Karaban all rose to the occasion and got us the win. Stewart played his ass off too. Ball needs to play harder and better on defense, because that’s why he sat on the bench the last 15 minutes of the game. That was one hell of a game and we were fortunate to get the Win, but it was well earned and hard fought.

THE BRINGER OF RAIN!!!!

I love that nickname! We needed this. Not sure what happened to Ball but big for the team and Silas / Mullins.
Hurley realized we couldn't defend them with Solo and Mullins on the court. Stewies length at the three made a huge difference
