When you’re talking about a coin flip, correct….when you’re talking about athletes, there’s no question “slumps” (periods below the mean) and “being in the zone” (periods above the mean) are real and there is a reversion too the mean….”kicking in”There is no “law of averages” that says you will shoot better after you’ve been in a slump.
Thinking that there is such such a law that could “kick in“ leads to the gambler’s fallacy
As we say ever game, he got a great cardio workout in.He got 7 minutes. Zeroes across the box score.
...and Tarris Reed thanks God after every single game, which I love.Thank God for Tarris Reed.
Do we want to win games or give experience. How much good will it do to play Nowell 8 minutes or less a game for 4,5 or 6 more games. That will prepare him better for next year ?Agree 100%
He messes things up on offense just being out there. It’s like playing 4 on 5.Ross just goes in there to play good defense and not mess things up on offense.
Ross never looks to shoot and Stewart never looks to put the ball on the floor.
The committee is not going to keep out a back to back champion. Hurley and Co. are a draw.Only 1 team in history of Big East has failed to get a bid going into the Big East tournament with 21 wins.
That was 2024 St. John’s.
The Huskies must win 1 out of the last 2 home games against Marquette and Seton Hall to get to 21. I suggest if it is indeed only 1 win of the final 2 it be the latter.
st. johns had almost nothing out of conference last year. we have a couple good wins. The committee is not going to keep out a back to back champion. Hurley and Co. are a draw.

In nil/portal basketball the future is now. Nobody cares what some guy might be in 2 years and you certainly don’t play him with that in mind. What can you do for me NOW? That’s how you make decisions.Have to respectfully disagree. Mahaney isn’t the answer especially if you have an eye on the future.
Thank you, God. Thank you.Thank God for Tarris Reed.
This should have 40 LIKEsfeed reed
Yeah, I know as someone else mentioned he had zeros all across his line so it didn't stick out.He did
I wish we could go back and give all those early season minutes from AM to AN.And he still looked better than Nowell.
Don Fanucci!The Colonel Sanders look!
To be a little fairer it is a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty nice around outside around gametime. I’m gonna guess lots of people were out doing what they had to do.
Are you trying to get his dad to join the BY and start a ruckus? LmaoAnother Nowell sighting. He almost lost the ball the first time he touched it but was bailed out by a foul. He then has a TO. Truth be told, whenever he has the ball he is very shaky. Time to give those minutes back to Mahaney.
This hyper critical thing you do with Nowell after every game is strange. He’s a freshman playing his first real minutes of his career in the heart of Big East play. Shouldn’t the junior with major experience look clearly better if you’re going to suggest he play over our more talented freshman?
Theres no upside in playing Mahaney. You play Nowell because he might get better with the experience. Neither is bringing anything besides shaky ball handling at the moment, but giving up on Nowell means more to lose:
I hear you, but Mahaney stinks. He came in today, promptly misses the front end of the 1 and 1 and fouls a Providence player. That's what he does. I would rather roll with Nowell right now, as I think Mahaney is a net negative on both sides of the ball.In nil/portal basketball the future is now. They both are, which is why neither got minutes after their initial entrance. Hopefully it changes but there's no evidence to suggest it's going toI hear you, but Mahaney stinks. Alex will be proLot left to play for this year .
But a Reed, Ball, Alex core is a great starting point for next season
