GK got a $500,000 bonus when USC and UCLA announced their departure from the PAC-12. No wonder the conference blew up.

They should expand with UConn. No buyout necessary. Cross-country travel is not a big deal for a small number of football games.

Perhaps the bb teams and football pay for themselves and football is affordable.

Baseball? Softball? Soccer? Track & field? Etc etc?

I'm thinking UConn stays in the Big East for all other sports and is football only for the Pac.

Would they want you as a football-only member? I would think they would want both bb programs.

It's possible that they'd want to play us in football to get some east coast TV time slots, and could make a deal with one to two basketball games a year for men's and women's as part of the deal.

But realistically probably too far fetched that this would happen.

It would make sense for both WSU and OSU to get into some kind of agreement with UConn to play yearly games. For one, it will be two less games for Uconn to schedule each year and one less game for OSU and WSU to schedule each year. For another, both OSU and WSU will get East Coast exposure while UConn will get more West Coast exposure. Also, it will give all 3 schools new audiences which can translate into better TV ratings.

Obviously, 3 teams can't make a conference but it can be some kind of scheduling arrangement that can benefit media partners and all 3 schools involved.

For UConn, 2 games against the PAC-2 each year is better than against 2 G5 teams.
