I'm sure they caught some flak, but was it ever a huge story or a media focus, or even a fan focus? It wasn't.
It's not so much the dancing imo, it's the arrogance: as typified by things like calling himself superman and his outward lack of humility. And the claiming glory when winning, but not accepting responsibility when losing.
You don't think Belichick or Calhoun get flack for being arrogant? They get crucified by media and fans alike.
Guys like Brady and Favre are demonstrative on the field, but it comes off as less of a 'look at me' thing, and more of pure celebration. And they attempt to be somewhat humble off the field, which enhances the prior observation.
In basketball, there's plenty of people who don't like the jersey popping or the fist pumping thing, but everyone does it. So your options are to accept it, or not watch BB at all.
This coming from a guy who likes Cam's attitude and play on the field. Didn't care for the press conference, but I'm not holding it against him. Maybe he'll learn.
Just musing, but I think some of it is jealousy. These guys have such enormous privilege, money, power, status. Just for playing a game. People don't want to have them tell you how great they are. Be humble. Accept your gifts with humility and grace and gratefulness.
