Have heard Lexington is a gem of a little city from several people

KY probably has less teeth per person per capita and more cousins dating cousins but no way is it in a financial mess like CT

With all the wealth and high taxes in this state and it's still a mess. I'd been a lifelong Dem but a few years ago I declared as an independent and during the last governors election it was the first time I didn't vote for the Dem. The mess has finally trickled down to UConn recruiting

When you have so many people densely packed together like this, your infrastructure needs are massive. It's the NYC effect.

Remember, Conn. had no income tax until the mid 1990s, and it was doing just fine back then with the exception of the cities. But Fairfield Cty. didn't look like today's Fairfield Cty. either. The change are massive, the traffic excruciating. Look at Stamford. That stuff required a lot of taxpayer dollars, and it has happened within the span of a decade and a half. It's like complaining about NYC. Yes, the place is unlivable. And, if you ask me, it's no longer a very interesting place. Is it a mess? You can say that. Is there a ton of wasted $$? Yes too. But then why are high income/high value people still living there? That's what needs to be answered about a place like Connecticut. If it's such a mess, why do all these rich people live there?

Financial Markets for one. Two cache; rich people don't care if something sucks as long as it costs a lot and other people want it. Three, there is still quite a bit of interesting stuff to do there. and so on and so on

[of 22 year old] Andrew Wiggins"...
