Besides MBB, what does UCONN offer, that Rutgers cannot offer?
The semblance of institutional competence?

Evidently a competent registrar's office for one.
name, address, telephone number, school e-mail address, photograph, date and place of birth, major field of study, dates of attendance, grade level, athletic participation, weight & height of athletes, degrees/honors/awards received
An actual fan base, instead of phantom waiting lists for season tickets? Competence across the board? Clean air and water?Besides MBB, what does UCONN offer, that Rutgers cannot offer?
A basketball coach with an actual degree?Besides MBB, what does UCONN offer, that Rutgers cannot offer?
Lol what interest? What fan base? What recruiting territory? Tell me what please.A way of inducing excitement amongst an interested fan base?
A 40000 seat stadium with a dead atmosphere. If you guys had so much to offer, you would've been in another conference by now, with or without your competent Athletic department, MBB program, or your non AAU status. An actual fan base, instead of phantom waiting lists for season tickets? Lol. I think another good question is how he managed to take 24 credit hours in the spring of 1974, while playing in every Rutgers basketball game as a starter. I mean, I suppose it's possible, but 24 credits is tough even if you're focused on that alone.
Go take a poll on all the B1G message boards to find out how excited your new conference is about RU. It is the biggest "despite the lack of any success in any area whatsoever" decision I can think of.A 40000 seat stadium with a dead atmosphere. ...and you will always be screwed up. Its your legacy, its your destiny. You were the least acomplished AD in the BE and you will be in the B1G.A 40000 seat stadium with a dead atmosphere. I actually feel bad for the guy, and for Rutgers. He seemed like a good choice to bring them back to their good days. I'd love to see them dominate the B1G, in everything.http://deadspin.com/coach-eddie-jor...source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow
So deadspin came out and found that despite claiming to have a degree from Rutgers...he doesn't. Guess things keep going down for Rutgers
Funny you should say that, because now you can be the most accomplished AD in the AAC. That's your legacy, and that's your destiny....and you will always be screwed up. Its your legacy, its your destiny. You were the least acomplished AD in the BE and you will be in the B1G.
You've accomplished nothing there either so whats your point? Congrats on landing in conference where you will make more money, but bottom line you will go from being a doormat in the big east to being doormat in the big ten. So congrats again.Funny you should say that, because now you can be the most accomplished AD in the AAC. That's your legacy, and that's your destiny.
Oh and BTW, you guys can be the Indiana of the AAC. Great BB, occasional National chips, Excellent Womens BB. I freely admit, your BB programs are in another galaxy, but football drives the bus. Always has, always will.

Congrats on having less accomplishments in your 100 year history than uconns 12 years of playing fbs.Funny you should say that, because now you can be the most accomplished AD in the AAC. That's your legacy, and that's your destiny.

Where does your football bus drive to? Not BCS games.Funny you should say that, because now you can be the most accomplished AD in the AAC. That's your legacy, and that's your destiny.

1 freakin BCS game...Big deal, where you got undressed by Oklahoma! Where have you been since?Where does your football bus drive to? Not BCS games.
Here's a question I had for another batch of Rutgers' fans that visited, but I never got an answer.
What's the big moment for Rutgers' fans? What's the big win? The one you talk about when you all get together.
And here's your answer...apart from playing some heavyweights, and you don't read very well...lil ol RUTGERS beat...TENNESSEE!!! YES...THE "WHAT'S A RUTGERS" GEME. The same Tennessee team that was always rivaling Coach Paul Bear Bryant's Alabama teams in the 70's and into the 80's. And how about a tie against UFla in the mid 80's. We've had some pretty big wins in our past, and some near misses as well, since making the jump into big time football into the early 1980's.
For the life of me, I cannot imagine what it might be. Refer to the above
It can't be a hoop game because Lord knows Rutgers hasn't been to an NCAA tournament since well before Al Gore invented the internet. It can't be a football game because you've never really been to a bigger bowl game.
You're right...can't think of one either.
I tried to read through the Rutgers' history on their website and near as I can tell, the biggest on-field moment in Rutgers' athletics came when they lost to Bear Bryant by a lot less than they thought they would. Your biggest win was a moral victory?
I think that you only need to read it once. You'll only see what you want to see, which isn't much.
Or was it when the Big Ten invited you? Is it entirely possible that your greatest moment is attributable to your population density?
Yeah...we've heard that before. That may be true, but the bottom line is that NJ churns out 4 to 5 times more recruits than Connecticut can muster in a 5 year period. Sadly, this is a fact! Sorry.
Congrats, I guess, on your foresight in building your homes close together. It's really paid off.
Rutgers has been the joke of college sports for years. Congrats on the lotto ticket but you were always a turd in the big east and you will always be a turd in the B1G. No hard feelings and I hope UConn gets there some day . Your greatest accomplishment was beating Louisville 7 years ago. You're basketball team hasn't made the tournament in 2 decades. Pretty sure every other Big East team had including PC, Seton hall and USF. Location location location!
