What do you mean what does UConn have to offer? It's the top public university in New England, in addition to a well funded athletics program with a national following as evidenced by the basketball programs. A school that has been on the up-and-up.
Rutgers on the other hand is starting to slip academically, is in major debt, and continues to look buffoonish with its PR.
Again what does UCONN have to offer besides what they're getting off on what USNWR says about they're academics. So RU's academics is slipping? According to whom? According to what you perceive? In the world university rankings, you're not even in the top 200. Hell you're not even in the top 250. You do make it between 250 -275. And where is RU academics slipping, when their ranking is 99th in the world? In a few major/minor criterias we place very highly. As a matter of fact, we place very highly where UCONN doesn't even rank from undergraduate to graduate programs. Mathematics, engineering sciences, and physics, to name a few. Where are you guys? Most people don't even go by the USNWR rankings, but would rather go by the more prestigious world rankings because at least their criterias for rankings or more transparent.
As far as your BB program, I'm not sure how you can say it has regressed when in never was anything. Your football program is not improved, it hit its peak in 2006 and that coach is now in the NFL. Rutgers will never be a destination job for coaches, so your comment about coaches lasting longer really is similar to saying, well my IQ is higher than yours when your IQ is 80.
As far as football is concerned, stick to bb! You couldn't tell where what peaked, because you went from one school with a so so football program and no strong regional recruits to another school with a terrible football reputation and a state that worships bb as GOD itself. Let's face it, how could you talk football when travels have none to speak of? From Connecticut to Indiana, what's the difference?
My IQ is 80? Who gives 2 craps? We're talking sports...I can tell by the fact that you've probably just graduated from school just in recent years, that you would boast of your IQ being so high, or whatever...how juvenile. And that's the best you can come up with? Smh...and please don't bring up your major and what you do. That's juvenile too.
Also, do you not see my signature? I go to IU right now...I know the bottom dwellers in the conference. I'm going to tell you, Rutgers is going to be at the bottom. It might not be the very bottom, but it is bottom 25%.
We will truly see. As i've stated before and I will state again as a reminder, we're in the B1G and You're not. Dassit! End of discussion! The only way I can see you remotely getting into the B1G is if you play some of the B1g schools as an OOC game. Sorry, but that's the deal for the foreseeable future. BTW, for arguments sake, IU is one of the cellar dwellers for it's academic rep next to UNL. Go check for yourself before you BOAST of your IQ.
What I feel really bad for is the fact that your basketball program will never...ever..........ever...get to shine in the B1G. Just ask Northwestern. And maybe outside of a fluke year, you're gonna have trouble making it in football (for instance, ask Illinois how that's working for them haha)
