I have vegetarian friends who hate the smoke that wafts to their nearby house from there, but sounds good to me.A little curve ball here. The smoked wings from the Wiremill in Georgetown are awesome, especially when they are right out of the smoker. They have a really nice tangy horseradish based white sauce to go with it, as well.
Someone got murdered in the Manchester one last year.a BonChon just opened in Corbin Corners this week. super crispy if you like korean fried chicken.

@whaler11 and I mentioned it above...Good wing deals near West Hartford/Hartford? Talking 25-50 cent wing happy hour type deals. Ballin’ on a budget here...

Beachland Tavern in Elmwood West Hartford has happy hour during weekdays 4-6pm and all day weekends. They have half priced wings for $6.00 - I think you get about 10-12 on a plate. Try the kitchen sink wings. They run draft beer specials too.
But that was just an internal squabble. The wings are still just as good. BonChon is a place where you go for good wings and get a beer with them. When I get to go out, I like a place with beer then get some wings.Someone got murdered in the Manchester one last year.

Black Duck Westport still does it right and they are big.....not drumettes. Been doing it same way for decades.
They cleaned it up 7 or 8 years ago but left the tilt. Change comes there at a glacial pace. Not wing-related, but Black Duck was my hangout when I used to work w/i walking distance of the place. Having not been there since the 90s, did they ever remodel the place to level the canted corridor to the bathrooms? Walking down that corridor to hit the head always made me feel drunker than I was due to the tilt. Kinda like a cheap funhouse attraction.
Mentioned several times in the Best CT Wings thread started in 2014:2. Dew Drop Inn (surprised to only see one other mention this)
Agreed. They have it down and have been doing it right for decades. In that case, I'm revoting for Archie Moores. They do a quintessential Buffalo wing and it's never been less than great for me over decades.

New Archies opening soon on Main St in Branford. Should be very well received.Mentioned several times in the Best CT Wings thread started in 2014:

I prefer the flats, but I still like having some drumettes to mix it up. If I could choose, I’d do a 2/3 1/3 split.Preference of Flats/Wings vs. Drums/Legs? Team flats here.
And props to the restaurants that allow you to order all of one or the other (w/o charging extra). Although it’s a price I am willing to pay.
Best wings in CT were Ray, Rip and Caron.Tried to post to an old thread but it was closed.
Figured that I would give an update to some of the comments in the old wing thread. My son requested we go to Bidwell Tavern yesterday after UConn tour and meetings in business school etc. We got the hot buffalo and the teriyaki wings. Wings were dry and lacked taste. The buffalo had no heat. Finger licking/wiping was definitely not necessary.
Several years ago I would have argued that Bidwell was the standard bearer for wings. Sadly, cannot say that anymore.
Thanks for the heads up brother of @HuskybassNew Archies opening soon on Main St in Branford. Should be very well received.
