UConn's gotta be all over Mizzou quick if they wanna win. Probably should get a score on the first drive and dominate the time of posession. Keep the game low scoring and on the ground, keep the pressure on the QB and be physical with their receivers. UConn CAN NOT play catch up in this game. If mizzou scores first, games over. Gotta show the scrappy side of UConn football, Lets see if we can have a productive offense, coupled with the scrappy defense that could even put points on the board

1) Its a TRAP game for Mizzou. They open up SEC play following us....
2) They look at the Army score and our #116 ranking without opening up the cover and seeing total domination by the PUPS...
3) OL gels and neutralizes a decent MIzzou front 7. (Mizzou has 15 tfl's so far in 2 games)
4) Mizzou isn't as good as THEY think.... SE Arkansas St is an Annual blow out for them. & Arkansas State had them 17 -7 at the half and
gave away the game.
5) Their LB corp. (mainly Kendrell Brothers) is neutralized by play action passes and BS movement, Newsome underneath and TE's.

Any given Sunday (well Saturday), but I wouldn't bet on us to win. I'll take a solid showing with a close competitive game and will be super excited for the rest of the season. My guess is them 27-13.

We keep it within 10 until a long FG cuts it to 6. Mizzou driving when Carrezola and Campenni combine to cause a fumble in UConn territory that Luke returns to midfield. Shirreffs and company mix in some short passes and runs and finally a scramble down to the 10 yard line when he gets some dirt in his eye and has to leave the game. Boyle rips a quick out into the third row before finding Bloom alone in the back of the end zone for 6. Conversion good Huskies win 24-23.
Then I wake up just in time for the kickoff.

Army, for Pete's sake, sacked the QB 3 times, and cause him to scramble plenty of other time.......and basically held the running game in check until their disadvantage in size wore them down in the latter part of the 3rd quarter.

The O line is not that good, as we all feared.

Mizzou will stack the line as did Villanova and Army. I'm afraid the results will be the same as the Florida-ECU game.......the run option will be taken away and UConn will be forced to throw every down. I hope Shirreffs doesn't get hurt, because he will take a pounding.

I have to be realistic.....Mizzou by at least 24. We are not playing a mediocre South Carolina team....not even close.

My prayer, somehow the game is within 10.....one way or the other.
