Obi Melifonwu/Noel Thomas - 2017 NFL Combine Invite

Obi runs and test as well as many think he will, then the first round is not out of the question because of his size to cover tight ends and wide receivers. That is a huge plus in the NFL right now and he will go from anywhere the late first round to the middle of round two imho.
Thomas needs to run a sub 4.5 forty and if he does and test good elsewhere he can go as high as a 4th round pick to a 6th rounder.

This has nothing to do with the Combine but Obi just got a sandwich named after him in Storrs:

Unfortunately the last time I was at Toasted they had one named the Diaco. Hopefully that gets a name change. The Obi20 sounds good though, a visit is in order.

Do we know when Noel might start doing drills?

EDIT Looks like the second group of receivers is about to start now

Noel only put up a 9 on the bench press...not great, but there were a lot of low numbers in the group of wide-outs.

They cut to a replay of John Ross's 40 right when Thomas was about to start...
They got it at 4.67 it would appear

The only wide-out we didn't get to see.:mad::mad:

Did they even show a replay of his? The other guys they've missed for commercials they showed in quick succession following the return

They didn't show either Thomas run, ended up with 4.67 and 4.64
Edit: actually just showed Thomas's second and updated his first run. Came up with double 4.64

9 reps on the bench and a 4.67 & 4.64 40...not a very good showing so far for him. I'd say 5th-7th rnd pick right now as a safe bet. He needs to get that 40 to 4.5-4.55 to get below the 5th rnd.
