Oh boy, not you again
2025-26 roster:What is South Carolina’s scholarship availability?
We have plenty available. I believe we have 13 on the roster now and have 3 for sure graduates, possibly 5. Raven and Dauda are both draft eligible, but I really think both will stay for another year. What is South Carolina’s scholarship availability?
Cha-ching
So, she's going to be paid more than a star Texas volleyball player or a standout Oklahoma softball player? Am I wrong to expect Asjia O'Neal/Jocelyn Alo-level accomplishments?Yikes... good for her obviously. But not a fan of this overall.
Same sentiments here, and that’s why I’m wondering if this $1.5m is really true. I do wish her well, wherever she decides to go for school. So, she's going to be paid more than a star Texas volleyball player or a standout Oklahoma softball player? She'd better deliver NATIONAL championships like those programs have done recently. That's "face of WBB" money.
Same--I wish her well. I'm also not against a young woman trying to get paid. It's the people willing to pay that have my head spinning.Same sentiments here, and that’s why I’m wondering if this $1.5m is really true. I do wish her well, wherever she decides to go for school.

Bueckers still could. That said, Geno didn't promise her a bag to get her to sign with Connecticut. If we stick to hoops, neither Bueckers nor Clark delivered a national championship despite their large NIL deals.
Yes?So, she's going to be paid more than a star Texas volleyball player or a standout Oklahoma softball player?
Whoa whoa whoa. Unless you have Hermione's timeturner (in which case, can I bet on the ponies with you?), Bueckers still has a shot at a Natty this season! If we stick to hoops, neither Bueckers nor Clark delivered a national championship despite their large NIL deals.

Bluder didn't throw $1.5 million at Clark to get her to sign at Iowa.
A better comparison would be JuJu (WCBB's new face), but she has (in theory) three NCAA Tournaments to get it done.

Yes?
1.5 sounds crazy, but I already assumed she would obviously be paid more than a star volleyball or softball player, for the same reason she’s going to be paid less than a star quarterback.
Just the ponies? This seems short sighted friend.Whoa whoa whoa. Unless you have Hermione's timeturner (in which case, can I bet on the ponies with you?), Bueckers still has a shot at a Natty this season!

That's my point. This "pay for play" nonsense for players unproven in WCBB is indefensible IMO, but I suppose the fan bases of those left in the "sweepstakes" will try their best.Bueckers and Clark made their own NIL and built their own "name" and popularity for actual real companies to pay for their name. I think I'd throw JuJu into being close to that also. The million dollar stuff thrown around now is just pay-for-play from collectives.
