I have to say I’m disappointed as an OU fan, but when looking at the current status of the program what should I really expect.

Sherri needs to go. Its embarrassing how much she is being paid in the first place.

Who is Baylor recruiting right now?

I see Maryam Dauda, Aaliyah Moore, and Jersey Wolfenbarger are in contact with Baylor.

Texas is a hot bed annually. Vic should have no problem getting significantly better talent. It was amazing how grossly incompetent Aston was.
Uh, no . . .

Wasn't Aaliyah close to committing to Karen? I saw she retweeted a bunch of Texas stuff before they went the coaching change route.

Difference is now is Vic can do something with talent. Aston Brought in great talent annually with no clue how to use or mold it

Couldn’t have said it better myself. In a perfect world once she hangs up her stiletto, Dionnah Jackson-Durrett who played for Ou, and followed Vic from st to Texas would take over, but it seems like Sherri is setting things up for her Son to take over once she’s a goner.

If I'm the AD, I would say hell no. I can sorta understand how if a legendary coach who won many national titles or at an elite level for years wants to help dictate who takes over but Sheri aint one of them. She use to have very solid and good teams but the program has taken a major slide back the last 3-4 years

I don't quite understand how naming your successor is an option. I know it happens, but it shouldn't. Isn't that what an AD is for? It usually doesn't work out very well when it occurs. Especially when nepotism is involved. Bobby Knight handing off the Texas Tech job to his son comes to mind. That was a huge failure.

Well, maybe Kim can wave at Aaliyah Moore as she drives through Waco on I-35 on her way to Austin.

Deep down you love Kim ;)

I am looking forward to Baylor vs Texas each year. Baylor will still be a top force as always but Texas will at least make this thing helluva competitive game each year now that Vic is in charge and recruiting top tier talent. This will be great for the big 12.

“(Marquette) was the best fit for me,” Williams said. “There were a lot of different coincidences, such as picking a school where I would be a part of a team that could beat a team like Connecticut. Also, I was outside two days ago, getting in a workout and I saw eagles flying outside my house.

Back in late January, Williams had this to say to OakPark.com’s James Kay:

“I don’t want to join UConn—I want to be the team that takes down a team like UConn.”

You wanna beat UConn? Of course you do. You and every other team and player not on UConn or not playing for UConn or not recruited by UConn. Hell even lower division teams would love to beat UConn. I sure wish these recruits would stop stating the obvious. WEAK sauce if you need UConn to motivate you. Blah blah blah!

I'm confused. Was joining UConn an option for her?

Good recruits to other schools in the BE not named UCONN is good for the conference. I wonder what will happen to Villanova now that Harry is gone. They need to make a smart hire - someone that brings energy and a fresh approach to coaching. I see they landed Denise Dillon. No idea what she's like. Hopefully a good hire for them!
