It’s just hard for me to imagine the attraction of the Midwest for California kids.

I get it; my wife is from Orange County and hates the Iowa winters (like the rest of us), but she likes Iowa.
January and February can be brutal, but that's midseason for basketball so doesn't matter much.
Iowa City is a bit of an oasis though...lots of high rankings in college town polls.
Dad posted on Insta that this video gave him chills; McKenna's smile doesn't seem forced. We shall see.

I don’t quite either, but Iowa does a great job getting them there. SC isn’t the California of the South either, but at least we have beaches and warm weather 75% of the year. 😅
