Green has been retweeting a lot of stuff posted by lady vols fans, I think she's headed to Tennessee at this point.

Something just doesn't smell good about this. Retractions of verbal commitments are nothing new or unusual, but what could have changed so drastically in less than 3 weeks? The choice of Kansas was somewhat odd, or at least unexpected, to begin with. But to reopen recruitment only 18 days later?

Until the recruit signs the LOI. That player can change the commit.

I really hope Kim works her last-visit magic. This weekend is homecoming for Baylor and the men play a game of some sort on Saturday (exhibition). She will also get to watch a team practice. She is very familiar with Baylor as she has attended Kim's camp multiple times.

If Egbo commits to Baylor, Baylor will have the number 1 ranked class, regardless of where Williams and ONO land.

Sorry my friend, but your class is good enough. Go have a seat in the corner please, you're done. No soup for you.

Egbo needs to go to Florida State. That wraps their class up and reduces options for Nelson-Ododa.

Something happened if all 3 of those Duncanville players basically decommitted from Kansas. Either someone influential (coach, parent, advisor, etc.) opened their eyes to something. Or, perhaps the marquee commit, Zarielle Green, decided to continue taking more visits, and the KU coaches told the other two it was all 3 together as a package deal, or none of them.

Obviously, Starr Jacobs has already moved on to Houston. So, the chances that the other two remain with Kansas is slim, IMO.

We don't need your soup. We have the recipe.

Hopefully the quality of talent that would be coming in with her at Baylor will make her decide that she would like to be part of that class to be part of the rivalry with Texas. The draw of playing close to home may not be as great to her as it has been for some other recruits out of the state.

Don't know if UConn is still in on 2019 Celeste Taylor but she made a visit to the Texas campus.

Yea, @Go/huskies just mentioned this in another thread. I like Taylor but I think UCONN has some options in that area. I don't like that Aston is trolling in NY area though.
2020 Marshall looks like an elite player, I think she has been on a visit to Texas, looks like Aston is recruiting New York players now, with 2019 New York guard Taylor visiting Texas recently.

I might be confusing her with someone else, but I believe her father is a Texas grad. We don't get many unofficial visitors from up East.

I would say she's UConn's if they want her.............you'll be seeing more and more top 50 recruits from our area in the next five years...........thankfully UConn is finally going to have a bit of a geographic edge with some great players

Well that was quick. I just don't get the Tennessee mystique. How are all of these high school kids not seeing Warlick's shortcomings as a coach?

Gee somebody is going to inherit a very talented team if Holly doesn't win with this group.......
Yes these past couple of years have been good in recruiting. The Tennessee roster next year will be one of the best in the country.

Hmmmm.

I can’t help but think is this was a reverse decision the Tennessee fan base would be in an uproar.

If she committed to Tennessee and then de committed and goes on an official to Kansas and commits all you would hear is “tampering” and “the right way” and “cheating”

Otherwise. Congrats to the Tennessee fans. She is a great player. She had a fantastic summer.

I for one didn't think those trio of commits were going to stick, the whole thing was a fairytale wish. You can't plan your future on friendships. It was either coming with a decommit or in the future with transfers.

Charlie:
This is a very straight-forward question: has Celeste Taylor taken any unofficial trips to UConn? I can't remember from your (or anyone else's) posts. If so, thanks for reminding. If not, I'm curious as to why you think she is UConn's "...if they want her." I remember Coach D seeing her play in NJ last winter.

I do agree that the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic has started producing some top-level D1 recruits who seem to be heading to a number of programs. And they'll be continuing in upcoming years.

As for the Irish, Niele Ivey seems to have a mileage-plus program to NYC/Long Island these days, with one frosh from NYC (Danielle Patterson) and two others on the way in 2018 (Jordan Nixon and Danielle Cosgrove). And the Irish basically had Mikayla Vaughn committed when she was still living and playing at home in Philadelphia. Plus, we still are represented from the Jersey Shore, Dara or not.

I think the team will be better this year. The team chemistry is better.
You can all be best friends and still shoot like crap. As far as chemistry goes they all said the same crap last year preseason that they are saying this year. Holly included. So no one really knows if the chemistry is really any better at all. If it wasn't she isn't going to say so anyway. Being best buddies still isn't going to make Meme or Dunbar shoot better. Their guards (all of them-- freshman included) have to be efficient. All that chemistry talk is just a distraction to not about the real stuff. If they did in fact work on the real stuff... they will be better. If they didn't they will lose to people they shouldn't, possibly surprise a few top teams, and likely end the year with 10+ losses again.
