Non-Key Tweets

There have been no new posts on the thread since this past Friday at 5:32 pm.
there MAY be something going on with the YARD:
I made a post yesterday at the RENT about the decision to punt at midfield with @ 11 minutes in regulation. It posted, then disappeared after a minute or so...

Coach, mods don’t allow post during game. Has to be in the “chat” during game.

While I know we have (or had) a Key Tweets thread, I'm not sure if we've ever had any true Key Tweets.

I'm glad a K-State fan seems to be advocating for us, but why do we lately have to be a package deal with some other school?! The hell has USF done to merit being lumped with us who have national championships in multiple sports...and we're a decent academic school (like that matters anyway). We should be enough by ourselves, but perception doesn't match CR reality.

Love this map! Could see three pods:

B12 West:
UU
BYU
ASU
U of A
CU
TTU

B12 Central:
KU
KSU
ISU
OSU
TCU
Baylor

B12 East:
UH ( I know they may not like it and prefer to be in the B12 Central- but somebody gotta do it)
UConn
WVU
CInci
CFU
SFU

This would have some regionality and revive some old rivalries. Play your five region mates every year, and cycle through the other regions playing 2 teams from each in a year. Theres your 9-game conference schedule.

Potential UConn conference schedule:

SFU
CFU
WVU
Cincinatti
U of Houston
Baylor
ISU
U of A

I'd sign up for this tomorrow. Hope it can happen.

EDIT: Heck students might even show up for some of those match-ups.

I don’t see anyone having interest in USF.

Conferences add teams when there is something amazing they can grab (eg Texas, USC)

Or when they are desperate for new members and they take the best available (eg BYU).

Neither of those conditions apply right now.

The B12 doesn’t need UConn and UConn will be available if/until the ACC implodes.

USF has AAU, Tampa and Florida market, growth, commitment with a new on-campus stadium. I'd be more than happy to be paired with USF because I think USF was a must for the Big 12 combined with UCF. USF is also a candidate for the ACC if it loses Miami or FSU.

I think it makes more sense to split 9 and 9 (Big12 East and West, or North and South). That gives each team 8 football games in conference and 4 OOC, unless you wanted to add a "crossover game" and 3 OOC...

I like the idea of a crossover to integrate the whole conference, though the crossover could come in the form of a conference championship game East champ vs. West champ.

If we get into the B12 this winter, my guess is that we are paired with USF.

1) USF is AAU
2) USF is part of the FL growth story - students and athletes
3) new stadium
4) perhaps most importantly, delivers another EST school for UCF, WV and Cincy.

I'm no expert on Florida and its schools but all of those big FL Universities are part of the State University System of Florida. Times are changing and perhaps UCF, USF, FAU, FIU, FGCU have an advantage over the traditional UF and FSU - Location. For many college degrees, there really isn't a big difference where you go to school, so why not stay closer to home or if you are out of state, attend a nicer location. It seems to me Location would be a big factor.

UF and FSU are coming strained by size. They aren’t going to have 60k-70k enrolled. And those in-state HS kids want to stay in-state. Gotta put them somewhere.
