The only way I see him doing this is possibly in response to a question. Otherwise, it is too disrespectful to the Big East.Should AD David B be out there talking like this? I mean it is not exactly a secret.
Not as long as NBC subsidizes their decision not to. For what it's worth, I love Notre Dame's institutional memory and animus towards the Big Ten. It reminds me of the saying "success is the best revenge."Todd Helmick's tweet is based upon the hypothetical that the ACC implodes and ND being free to move.

ND isn't going anywhere. It certainly isn't going to join the Big Ten.
People on the B-Yard can be crazy, no questionI can’t believe you guys are referring to this tweet like it’s real. That guy has 300 followers. Not even worthy of a non-key tweet. Please check the source — anyone can cut and paste an ND logo and ad it to a press release. Omfg media literacy classes should be a mandatory requirement—at least to post in this forum![]()
They could go back to the Big East and have a scheduling agreement with UConn for football.People on the B-Yard can be crazy, no question
Nevertheless, how long will ND remain in the ACC if the conference loses key members

You said it best, ND is going nowhere. They have done the least with the most amount of revenue.Todd Helmick's tweet is based upon the hypothetical that the ACC implodes and ND being free to move.

Remember all the whining over this? That would be awesome. Do a 10-year contract, half the games at ND. UConn's half could be divvied up between the Rent, and NYC venue and Foxboro.
What success? ND has not won a football or men's basketball championship in my lifetime I don't think. The only thing I've seen them win is a women's basketball championship. Not as long as NBC subsidizes their decision not to. UConn Likely to Opt Out of Football Series with Notre Dame
It looks like the state of Connecticut, UConn Athletic Director Jeff Hathaway, and Coach Randy Edsall finally got the message—ultimately it just didn't make sense! The Star Ledger's long-time ...bleacherreport.com
And yet they are coveted by every conference and can pretty much lay out any terms they want for membership. They are a small Catholic college that has carved out a niche athletically and academically. By any reasonable measure they have been successful. What success? Haha I was thinking the same things looking at the color of the New England states. To be honest I had completely forgotten about Boston College and I was trying to figure out how Syracuse was closer to New Hampshire and Maine than Connecticut. I would feel embarrassed about that, except that pretty much the rest of the country has forgotten about Boston College as well."Weatherman"
I just realized the Big East has more population than the Big 12 and SEC.
It's a shame all those northeast time zones are colored ACC, especially in New England. As if people actually watch bcu.
I'd like to see it painted with the MWC since that conference is so worthy now.
I just thought that was because they were the team of a lot of old people who are quickly dying off taking much of ND's mass appeal/fandom with them. And yet they are coveted by every conference and can pretty much lay out any terms they want for membership. 73-13 the past seven years in football, with two playoff berths in a four team playoff system. You said it best, ND is going nowhere. They have done the least with the most amount of revenue.
I have been hearing and seeing that for forty years. Those ND old people sure must live forever.I just thought that was because they were the team of a lot of old people who are quickly dying off taking much of ND's mass appeal/fandom with them.
And I expect the next 1000 to be just as bittersweet.1000 pages. We did it.
Why risk ruining our perfect record of beating Notre Dame at home in football? v^_^vThey could go back to the Big East and have a scheduling agreement with UConn for football.![]()
