Is flugempire a Cuse fan?
Is flugempire a Cuse fan?
Minnesota Golden Gophers, if I'm not mistaken. I'll take his word about the inner working of Big Ten Country (Seeing as...you know...Minnesota is actually within the Big Ten footprint) over an Appalachian Mountaineer any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Is flugempire a Cuse fan?
I am sorry that the idea of ND never being in the Big Ten saddens you. I mean that. But, ND joining the Big Ten would have been like Appomattox or the Fall of Bataan for me, personally. It would have been the worst of all possible realistic outcomes for ND in conference realignment, in my opinion.
I would rather ND join the ACC, Big 12 or Pac 12 than the Big Ten, and I would absolutely hate the idea of ND football joining any of those conferences.
UConn wants badly into the Big Ten and I hope it works out for them soon. UConn deserves to be in a P5 conference. I just never want ND to be part of any Big Ten discussions. I don't think that UConn needs ND involved in order for Delany to decide to invite it to the Big Ten.
2015 will be the first year since 1915 that ND football will not play any Big Ten teams. I like that development and hope it is the beginning of a trend.
In short "money talks"What is getting lost in the translation of all of these metrics is that it's first and foremost about the tv networks getting paid. There is a leep by guys like him that basically viewership is directly related to dollars which isn't/doesn't always have to be the case. These deals can get influenced by sponsors directly. If a sponsor jumps in for a channel regardless of size, then it's much more important than any metrics. If tv stations get paid, schools are much more likely to get in if they bring those dollars. Viewers can be secondary.
nelson should create a Twitter account and keep saying he's heard from a source that UConn is talking to the Big 12 and Big East.I think has/had some intel but like most of them he started believing his own hype. Now he just posts whatever he thinks.
