Non-Big East Conference Tournament Thread

So funny- Louisville Notre Dame Pittsburgh and BC are all playing in the cellar dweller opening around games today for the ACC —wish nothing but the worst for all of them especially BC —should never of left boys. And they’re playing in Barclays again ? they trying to copy the big east—what happened to Greensboro? Dumb

ND is not playing today. They are #2 in the league this year behind Puke. That goes to show you that this year ACC is god awful.

Oh god. Thought I saw them vs Louisville in 7 pm game tonight. They arent even ranked. I just assumed the were at bottom of acc again. My. B. Lol.

“Change is never easy and this change I will never get used to. We should still be in the Big East with our old rivals”

If you take the school names off of the BC - Pitt players' jerseys, you'd swear you are watching a mid-major game. Pretty pitiful.

Even more pitiful: one team is up by 20.
How many people in the stands?

Difficult to tell because the house lighting is VERY low/almost completely dark. The "crowd" sounds like a gymnasium crowd you'd hear at a Y League game.

BC demolished Pittsburgh by 20. Wonder if there was anyone watching to witness that train wreck

They should play it in Cameron Indoor. It's only fair since K made that conference what it is. And they should only allow Duke fans in the building.

Or not

Pitt pretty much stuck with Capel for next season. $15 mill buyout. Goes down to $5 in 23-24. With no recruits and likely defections to portal, next year might be worst Pitt season ever. And whoever follows Capel is gonna have one helluva rebuild challenge.

Our top sports radio show started their program with, "Remember back when Pitt fans concerned themselves with guys like Josh Boone, Hilton Armstrong, and Ben Gordon..."

its crazy how much that program dropped off. Hopefully the money and wherever their football program is at made up for it but. Those were fun games back in the old big east days with WVU and Pitt playing.

but Coach K wouldn't like that. He doesn't like having it be about him. He only announced his retirement a whole year in advance to not have the spotlight on him. He's just the greatest, most humble, not full of himself, coach there ever was.

It's okay. its a good opening act for the Big East Tournament tomorrow. The ACC tournament Opening Round is exactly that. The appetizer for the main course

Great environment in Louisville for the Bellarmine game. It shows how dedicated the fanbase is, especially knowing that they can’t make the dance even if they win.

This is a case study in what can happen if you make the wrong hire. Pitt lost out on Hurley, hired Capel, and lord knows what the future holds for that program.

CCSU put up a better fight against Bryant, Peter Kiss is all over the place.
