I wouldn't worry too much................sure, every player needs coaching as they transition from high school to college but if there were two players that could excel without a single word of advice during their four years of college ball it's PB and .......

There’s a lot of construction going on by my apartment complex. I know nothing about that field, but I still compliment the men on their work every time I go by. Truly amazing how friendly they are to a retired college professor. Those who live in glass houses should never throw stones.

Exactly as I said earlier love her for everything she has to offer, but to me recruiting is the most important. The girls here will get better with her here, but she has to be able to bring in top talent. I’m not sold there, but what do I know.
There always that lull in years after they are gone and Morgan will have to bring in some talent, I don’t know, maybe Geno won’t be here then anyways.

Of course not. Vic is part of the good ole boy/girl network, paid his dues as a long time assistant, he gets a pass for going "home" to coach. Oh wait, that's pretty much what Valley is doing.
What do you mean by "bring in top talent"? All four coaches need to be able to evaluate talent, just as they all need to be able to scout opponents. However, there is no need for all of them to be effective deal closers, if there is such a thing. As several posters have already said, top talent comes to UCONN because of its stunning record, its ability to make players better, especially top notch players, the number and quality of its grads who play in the WNBA, and the presence of the most gifted and successful head coach on the planet. And you are worried about whether a new assistant coach can convince folk to play at UCONN?
So when do you suggest is a good time for a HC to leave a job?? If recruits come in every year, in theory she could never leave or she would "screw" the kids. People in regular jobs tell employers they are committed to that job and then leave without recourse, so why is a coach not allowed to do the same? Sounds like this is brining up an old wound because you're making this waaaay more personal than it has to be. Give it a break and just wish her well in her new position.
Did you say the same thing when we went from Marissa to Jasmine, who had a lot less experience than Morgan does when she was hired?!
And 98% of them had no idea who she was or Mosely either. And some of them cited her ability to play with recruits on social media as a big plus. But now they need the second coming of Auriemma for an assistant? Please.

Most UConn fans know about her past coaching experience. I’m a bit surprised that so many are more concerned about her past coaching success than her potential FUTURE coaching success. No one can change the past, but they can use that experience to be a better coach/leader/teacher/mentor in the future. I’m looking forward, not backwards. I’m thinking like the UPS commercial. What can Brown do for you? 😃
