it’s black with navy trim. you can see the navy outline is a different color than the jersey. 110% black

This is the new uniform next to the original navy one. Whether it’s blue or black, we got a new “huskies” alternate.

As you can see from my post above to @HooperScooper, last night I thought the jersey was 110% black, but now I have absolutely no idea what color it is

Not a huge fan. Think we would’ve been better off doing a white/grey alternate with Connecticut in cursive (‘06 style). But If the players like them & it gets us recruits, I’m all for it.

Please stop with the Providence lookalikes. National Flag blue and White. You want a touch of grey/red as an accent only fine. But the grey and black crap is, well crap. Providence, Butler, Xavier maybe. UConn is blue thank you very much.

First time I’ve seen “Huskies” on the men’s uniform.

Todays big east every team has like 6 different jersey combinations. These DePaul look-Alikes are pretty dope!

The last rebranding effort took us away from our roots and now we’re meandering a little bit. In the rebranding, which was ostensibly to unify our look across all sports, we lightened the color of the uniform, which should national flag blue a very dark blue that is very close to black. So I find it a little ironic that we lightened up the uniforms in now are going with black alternatives, which is close to what we had before we lightened the color.

(We also gave up our nearly 90 year tradition of having an all white husky as a mascot, which was unique and had great brand recognition. That “re-branding“ was a blackeye for Herbst’s legacy in my opinion.)

I’m not really a fan of the black, blue and red color combination, but as @MOMO74 said, if the guys like them, it’s fine with me.
