yeah its unfortunate and their players are crying now. I don't know if this is all on Cronin. I thought he should've gone a little more 3-2 (not 2-3, so they could reach 3pt shooters) zone after Brooks fouled out as Garza just went to work in the post. Or maybe full court press more, although they don't really do that too much.
But Cincy had open shots that they just couldn't make (i.e. Jenifer to answer Wieskamp's dagger that put Iowa up by 6 with under 2 min).
But Iowa hit some 3s with a hand in their face, too. I am not sure if this is on Cronin, well not entirely at least.

Cincy players taking too many 3s and bad shots in the 1st let Iowa get back to only 5 points at half - helped shift the early momentum. Once that lead shrunk, you could feel Mick's concern at the half interview.

Nice to see Colgate again. I’m old enough to remember them, led by Adonal Foyle, giving us a bit of a problem in the ‘96 tourney. That was the game in which Ricky Moore dislocated his shoulder for the 15th time. Probably killed our title chances.

Tennesse gets the W but that game was way tighter than it should have been. Colgate throughly outplayed the Vols in the 2nd half.

Look like Hurley Jr. is about to get bounced. Hate to say it but he did a terrible job with this team. They were easily the most talented team in the P12 this year, really underachieved.

Good god I hate being irrelevant this time of year. I find the tournament so much more enjoyable, Even after being bounced, when your team was involved.

Arizona State is absolutely awful. They do nothing well. Looked like a D2 team last year vs. Syracuse in the First Four and now they look just as bad. How was this team deserving of an at-large bid?

Houston seems to be taking care of business, early on at least.

They didn't do that badly. Second in the conference and lost to the eventual winner in the semi's of the P12 Tournament.

Getting pounded in 1st round wasn't the best result. Had to hurt it was courtesy of his former assistant.

Amazing how consistent these 12-5 upsets are. So far 12s are 2-1 against 5s the one win 5s had was by 1 point and liberty-miss st are tied right now in the one game ongoing.

Anyone looking to make some money I really really like St. Louis +10.5 against VT tonight. I’m in 50 times on them.

Pleasantly surprised that Houston took care of business so easily. Sincerely hope they go on a big run.
They got a tough little mini bracket in that region. ISU, Kentucky or wofford, win through and you get auburn, Kansas or UNC. If they get to a final four, they sure will have earned it.

To me it's always the 2nd round game with all these AAC teams. If someone other than UConn can get there than I think you can take them for real. I think they could play well as an underdog vs UNC, Kansas, and Kentucky. But can they get by Iowa St or ohio State? I'm just so programmed with Cincinnati

Iona looking up to the challenge. Can they sustain, or wear out like NDSU?

What I wouldn't give for an entitled blue blood to go down.
