When a team has a single star player, the refs can take you out of the game. 2 of Niang's 4 fouls, and especially the 4th, were nowhere near fouls. So, with Iowa St. having come back from 20+ down to 7 down with 10 minutes or so left, Niang sat for 4 minutes. Lead went from 7 to 14.

If by lay up you mean highly rushed and closely defended than yeah. How about on the turnover that led to them losing the lead? He was in trouble from the start. Use the TO!
