I'm not about to claim that Gottfried is a good coach but he somehow does come up with a very good effort every couple of years. This is why there will always be some school willing to hire the dunce.

No doubt about it so far. They have looked scared to death the whole game.
 
Man we could have used Abu, this year and beyond.

There are consequences to losing all of these competitive recruiting battles.

Nova does look tight, but as was the case last year when UConn played them, the lower seeded team is more talented IMO. Obviously Nova has had the better year and has played great as a group, but on paper I'm taking NC State's team.
 
Abu gets after it on the glass.

The guy calling this game with Steve Smith sounds like he's doing an impression of a white guy. He's the corniest guy I've ever heard.

NCSU hasn't even played a very bright game. Fouling Nova shooting a 3, sloppy possessions and TO's.

NC State wants to blow this game. There was no reason to give Nova an and one right after a three shot shooting foul.

Villanova doesn't appear to be good enough to take it though lol. Usually when a one seed loses this round it's because the underdog played out of their minds. Nova just doesn't know how to react to NCSU's athleticism. Don't see that in the Big East I guess?
 
Will there be any players left for the last minute? Quite a few on each team have four fouls.

He is not a bad player. but he averaged 6 ppg and 4.7 rpg. His stats weren't measurably better than Facey's.

I also don't feel like having an argument tonight over whether some random guy on a bubble team is better than our guys, because to make that argument, you have to say our guy sucks.
 
Nova is out of mistakes. They need to be perfect or NC State needs to get stupid (I know, not a stretch) or Nova's gone.
 
Now that was a HUGE traveling call. I didn't realize a pump fake was the same as a travel. His feet didn't budge.

My post was more so directed at you saying "UConn was after Abu?" He was probably UConn's biggest recruiting target last year...
