NCAA Softball Tournament

Wow, that just sent shockwaves thru the WCWS!

I'm sure it's happened at some point, but really rare for someone to come back thru the losers bracket to win the whole thing.
Apparently it has only happened three times. Florida State did it in 2018.

Florida State did it in 2018
I should've remembered that. Lost their first game, then were on a mission and not to be denied. Beat my Huskies in the Championship series.

Good games so far today, both went down to the wire. Okie State was up 3-2 in the 7th, Georgia had runners on 2nd and 3rd w/ 2 down. Got the ground out to end the game.

Should've sent that runner, Lu!!!
Georgia played well but man some of the worst base running I've seen this year. Cost them at least a run. At least it was a good game.

UCLA was leading Florida St. 1-0 last time I checked. Final 4-0 so they added a bunch of insurance runs. Alabama's 5 runs were the most scored today. So far looks like it's more about pitching than hitting, but that's almost always the case at the WCWS.

JMU leading OKST 2-0 going to the 5th. JMU playing solid. OKST error bringing in a run. That hurt.

I don't wanna be JMU on Sunday playing Oklahoma possibly twice, and probably getting to use Alexander only once.

JMU beats OKST. Only unseeded team to ever win first two games of World Series. OKST bats were non existent.

Agree. Oklahoma is chomping at the bit. I feel sorry for GA tomorrow.

I would greatly enjoy OU and Patty going 0 and barbecue in OKC

Oklahoma may have to get by UCLA first.

OU does NOT have an easy road ahead of them. Having to beat George with Avant on the mound who already beat OU once and is pitching even better as of late, then the loser of UCLA/AL, then JMU not once but twice... all in just two days... yikes.

Oklahoma may have to get by UCLA first.

They're the only ones left who can hit on Fouts. There isn't anybody doing a thing against her right now. Whatever she's packing right now is probably at the highest level it may get. Like Rachel Garcia in the 2019 WCWS.

So unless we want a totally one-sided finals, I'd root for Oklahoma.

My prediction of either Oklahoma or UCLA winning the whole enchilada is not looking brilliant at the moment. For sure one of them won't be making it to the championship series, and both could definitely be eliminated before then.

Agree. Alabama looks like they are at their highest peak right now. At the right time. Unless something drops off drastically, don’t see them losing.

Florida St. just bombed a game changing Home Run at the best possible time, and worst possible time for Arizona.

Arizona ties it right back on a ball that skips past the infielders.

Now Seminoles reclaim the game in the bottom of the 7th and wins it.

Terrible choice to keep Lopez in the game. Arizona might've been playing for the 2nd game, but still....she's just not a great pitcher. You can tell Arizona was gonna blow it soon when you went to her.

Just tuned in . Weather delay. Do they have an estimate when play will start?

UCLA has the sticks tonight. 3-0 Bruins top of 3rd. Oklahoma doing a pitching change to their ace. Backup couldn’t hang. Looks like assessments were correct on Oklahoma pitching. One outstanding pitcher and the rest……meh. May cost them tonight.

Oklahoma gets two runs in bottom of third. Left bases loaded. 3-2 UCLA top 4th.

Umpire not calling outside corner. Clear strikes. No question, but not making call. Tough for Garcia.
