NCAA Final Four

Kaminsky has great hands and an otherworldly nose for the ball. If Brimah had a tenth of that instinct, he'd be a lottery pick.
Plus he really fights for rebounds, like on that last defensive possession before the timeout.

Doesn't hurt he's a big dude, unlike 215 Brimah

I'm shocked Cal hasn't changed the way they defend flat ball screens after what Notre Dame did to them last week.

Actually I'm not, cause it's Cal, but still.

Teams attack the basket more when they know the whistle will blow in their favor and less when they know they are not getting the whistles.

Save you breath/typing fingers
Doesn't make a difference that Valentine had two huge mystery fouls called against him - if Big Ern says the refs paid no part they played no part

So, did Dawson on same possession no less.

Wow, I had on what must've been the UK home broadcast by mistake for a few minutes (TNT). My God it was awful. Nothing's a foul on UK, everything's a foul on Wisky (e.g. "Dekker is whistleproof.) And both guys are a snore.

Last couple empty possessions for Wisconsin hurt their momentum, had s chance to really apply pressure and push to double digits. Settled for a pair of bad looks instead.

Anyone else catch the commentary earlier where they said Cal didn't watch any footage of Wisconsin this week to prepare? Is anyone surprised?

A few uncharacteristic mistakes by the Badgers. It sucks that they're letting Kentucky stick around.

Wisconsin has got to do a better job of handling the Harrisons off the dribble, they're getting destroyed trying to contain dribble penetration.

And I would not trade our 5 trips to his 7.
Very true. He came away empty six times. We came away empty once.

Izzo gets teams that have no business in the Final Four into the Final Four. That is why he is 1-6.

That's lame. Many of Izzos teams were as good as our 2011 and 2014 teams. Right now he is the Bobby Cox of the NCAA Tourney

Wisconsin turning it over is keeping kentucky in the game

I just can't stand this Kentucky team. I've rooted against them forever but this team is by far the worst. At least Anthony Davis's team was enjoyable to watch.

Question for y'all watching in CT. Out here, Pitt has been running ads during the NCAAs for Pitt football, with Pat Narduzzi promising Pitt will be tough again and win. Does UConn run ads featuring Diaco out there (or did they last tourney)?

Izzo is something like 1-8 against Duke/UNC. Most have been blood baths. As good as he is that has to be held against him when calling him by far the "best coach" out there.

I do think making the Final 4, while a huge accomplishment, can be overrated as a measuring stick. Sometimes the committee flat out screws up. Kentucky, Duke, Wisconsin, Arizona, Notre Dame, UNC were simply better teams than anyone in the East region at the end of the year. Same thing happened to UConn in 1995 and 2002.

Nor would I, but Izzo definitely deserves to be in any conversation of top coaches right now. There's K and then there's the tier below, which includes Roy. And I'd take Izzo over Roy seven days a week and twice on Sunday.

I bet Izzo wouldn't even need the fake classes/grades to deliver more titles if he had the talent UNC's had.

Wiscy fighting to get the lead back (now up 48-44). Great game so far.

Roy gets a lot of flack but he's become really underrated as he gets hated on more and more. At worst he's a slightly better version of Calipari.

Man, Wisconsin is flat out a nightmare matchup. They can all shoot 3's and they can all take it to the rim. I imagine this has to be beyond frustrating for a guy like Calapari who coaches basketball like your girlfriend plays video games. Watch him on the sideline, you can practically see him moving the controller with his body when his player jumps.
