NBA playoffs

It was a bad game for him and even a bit out of character. He is getting bumped every possession and is a bit hobbled so he is human.

With a quick turnaround in Indy on Sunday I would be shocked if Brunson doesn’t catch his 2nd wind and have a bounce back game.
Guy's carrying quite a load and playing 48 minutes could wind anyone. Too bad Anonaby is so injury prone. Their winning percentage is like 90% when he's playing.

Andrew Nembhard stepback 30ft game winner in the NBA playoffs wasn't on my bingo card
That shot (with the exception of being against my team, not for my team) was eerily similar to Taliek Brown against Pitt in the 2022 BET title game (in double OT no less).

It’s much tougher without OG but Knicks still had that game there for the taking. Brunson missed shots he usually hits even layups I don’t expect that to happen in game 4, think he makes an adjustment after watching film, he did play 38 minutes last night btw.

Knicks went cold in the last 5-10 minutes, they were exhausted. Was very clear watching them. They needed 2 more guys, one would have done it. Bummer

He can def give you Wade, he was off on some of his specific examples (he admits he forgot about 2006) but he’s making good overall points about saying Tatum ISN’T that rather than “hasn’t fully become that.”

I’d think you can agree that part, his main part, isn’t ridiculous?

I’m not on one side for Tatum either way, but he makes some points.

Obviously if Tatum plays like a stud and leads Boston to a title, the debate is over. That's not a good point. It's obvious. That's like saying if you win a game then you will have won a game.

He pushed back on the notion that champions invariably have a THAT GUY (although I also said the Celts may be deep enough not to need one) and he tried to equate Tatum with a number of guys who put teams on their back.

Nobody has said JT's incapable of doing that, just that he has not shown it yet. He's has great games but he's been inconsistent. I want very much for him to take it to the next level. The talent is there, he's capable of putting up monster numbers and big shots. He just needs to do it in the Finals, assuming they get there.

MOST PLAYOFF GAMES WITH 30+ PTS, 10+ REB, 5+ AST

49 LeBron James
20 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
19 Larry Bird
18 Nikola Jokic
15 Giannis Antetokounmpo
14 Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor
11 Jayson Tatum, Oscar Robertson, Charles Barkley, Russell Westbrook, Kevin Durant

Also 24 games w 20,10,5 which surpasses a lot of legends too.

He didn’t shoot great again, though.

I often forget how good Kareem was passing out of the post. The 30-10 he probably did a lot more often, but the 5 assists is a tougher stat for a center that never went outside the paint.

knicks are so fraudulent you'd think they were a member of the church league (bums). negative 23 scoring margin in the playoffs.

We'll see if the TWolves have a run in them but right now the Nuggets have completely flipped the switch on this series

TWolves made their run and became completely undone the last 20 secs of the half

Kenny Smith making a weird Aaron Gordon Travis Knight comparison. Wasn't expecting to hear Travis Knight's name on Inside the NBA.

Jokic is unreal. They win another chip this year and he's already in the top 10 all-time and he hasn't even hit 30.

Probably my favorite non-UConn, non-Celtics guy ever, just ahead of Steph.
Who’s coming off the top 10 then?

I’d liken it to Cincinnati playing without 2 of its 3 best players but you don’t have 3 good players
Just like Kansas didn’t have their top 3 players against Cincy giving them their championship moment.

I have:

10. Curry
11. Hakeem
12. Moses
13. Dr. J
14. Kobe
15. Oscar
16. West

A third regular-season MVP combined with a second title and finals MVP jumps him to the top of that group imo.
Yikes. Kobe at #14 is nasty work. Not sure what your methodology is but he's #10 at worst.

I like it - Kobe is a legend but he’s not better than top 10, as a player.

I got into an argument the other day about this. It is tragic that Kobe died and he was hugely influential. But nobody had Kobe in the top 10 prior. Now, there are some saying he's in top 3 with MJ and Lebron.

I'm as big a Kobe fan as there is and I agree that top 3 is ridiculous.

But #14 is also ridiculous. Tragic death or not.
