Mora Speaks to Courant

Bottom line the players bought in to a goal, we got 95% of the way there, then were abandoned in the middle of the night via a group chat.

I suspect most of them knew he was sniffing around, but you can skin a cat a million ways. He left the team and already started poaching UConn’s recruits and players. He should not be allowed back on campus.

Pick up your stuff at the gate or we’ll ship it to you. It’s a business and you walked out of the deal. Goodbye, don’t want you to come back and chit chat. Actions speak louder than words.

And every Boneyarder talking about the next coach keeps bringing up "bringing players with him" ad nauseum. (His kid's a great quarterback who would travel with him...blah blah blah.) What makes that coach any better or worse than Mora? Hate the portal, hate coaches leaving, hate conference realignment...it's where college football is.
I was pissed Mora left, sure. But it is what it is. He could have given us goodbye kisses and tweeted some perfumey smoke up our butts, but he didn't. He wants to say goodbye to the guys...will he offer some a spot at CSU? Probably, but we will want our new coach to do the same.
In the end, the guy did a better job here than I expected, especially in a pretty short time frame. A couple years of going to the Rent expecting NOT to lose? Who would have thought.
I'm not sending him a Christmas card, but I'm not hurling EffYou's at the guy, either. He did his job.
NEXT!!!

We don't t have to help him do it.

TRULY middle of the night. Said he texted them "the moment the deal was done" but he seemed to get in touch with Thamel IMMEDIATELY, so they may have already been asleep if they keep strict sleep habits (which as athletes, wouldn't surprise me)
