This is a fake quote btw
Concur.
I think the only thing that actually happened was the Pat McCaffee show.
Why on earth would they talk about UConn, Mora and CSU on SEC Live?
This is a fake quote btw
Obviously I’m exaggerating. But most of the media is summarizing this as “Kiffin: selfish villain” and “Mora: vindicated coach who deserves this”Who is calling him a hero?
And every Boneyarder talking about the next coach keeps bringing up "bringing players with him" ad nauseum. (His kid's a great quarterback who would travel with him...blah blah blah.) What makes that coach any better or worse than Mora? Hate the portal, hate coaches leaving, hate conference realignment...it's where college football is.He’s actively poaching players as we speak. But that’s the cfb landscape we’re in right now.
Fine, you did your duty, sure, whatever.
Thank you, next.

I'm a man and I have the most integrity. Let me tell you all about it before I come back to UConn this week to take all the players I want back to Colorado State with me.Some interesting quotes...
“I am flying back across the country (Monday) to look these men in the eye and say thanks for the work they did and the things we accomplished together.”
“I sent a group message (to players) via ‘teamworks,’ the only way to communicate with them all when scattered across country, the moment the deal was done,” Mora said. “The AD at UConn was kept in the loop the entire time. … Frankly, I did it exactly the right way, all above board, with honesty and integrity and all with the interest of the UConn players in mind.”
“I left UConn better than I found it,” Mora said, “and I handled my departure the way a man with integrity does so. … I loved my time here, we embraced it.”
I don't even think it matters anymore. We've learned that everything head football coaches say is a lie, mora's thank you is AI, his commitment to the current players was false. no one knows what is real or fake anymoreThis is a fake quote btw
There's no way in hell leadership at UConn should let him on campus. It's a messed up situation.
If we tell him he can't come then we look bitter, because Mora will make a stink about it.
This visit as wildly inappropriate as it is needs to be canceled by Jim Mora.
If he did, and listened, then he did the right thing either way.Maybe he asked the captains for input?
Perfectly said. Through the first five games of the ‘22 season, we continued to be on path to barely ever being able to beat anyone. And then, in the late afternoon in the mist in an empty building, we beat a Fresno State team that won MWC and beat a P-5 team in their bowl game. And that was the start of us being in a much better place. And every Boneyarder talking about the next coach keeps bringing up "bringing players with him" ad nauseum. (His kid's a great quarterback who would travel with him...blah blah blah.) What makes that coach any better or worse than Mora? Hate the portal, hate coaches leaving, hate conference realignment...it's where college football is.
I was pissed Mora left, sure. But it is what it is. He could have given us goodbye kisses and tweeted some perfumey smoke up our butts, but he didn't. He wants to say goodbye to the guys...will he offer some a spot at CSU? Probably, but we will want our new coach to do the same.
In the end, the guy did a better job here than I expected, especially in a pretty short time frame. A couple years of going to the Rent expecting NOT to lose? Who would have thought.
I'm not sending him a Christmas card, but I'm not hurling EffYou's at the guy, either. He did his job.

But it was on the interweb! Most of this is fake. Saban never said any of it.
Very well said. And every Boneyarder talking about the next coach keeps bringing up "bringing players with him" ad nauseum. (His kid's a great quarterback who would travel with him...blah blah blah.) Listen if he comes out and says "I took this job because I want to be closer to family and be closer to home" then fine I'll root for you. I understand it's a business and he doesn't have to fly back and speak to the team and press, but he's doing it. PR stunt or not, Ill give him credit for doing it at all.
I would like to accept your offer CSU and plan on doing so but as a man of integrity and principle I want to tell the young men that I have told to put their trust and faith in other face that I am moving on. I appreciate their effort and dedication to the program and once I have parted ways with my former institution I am more than happy to engage in a publicity and social media activities I may need to. Simple. He didn’t do that, he blew town on thanksgiving break, took a different job, announced it on social media and “kept everyone in the loop.” By sending out a mass text to the team.Did you expect him to say I'm sorry? Haven't heard any departing coach say that. What should he have done differently besides not leaving.
Look at Penn State. LolHopefully we have the coach hired by Tuesday... Were behind the 8 ball
Mora needs to be told he isn't welcome. He is poaching a QB recruit as I type.He shouldn’t be allowed in the facility.
Not when he has declared open season on our signing class and roster.
It’s ridiculous that Dave would let this go down.
