No one is arguing they are different players but two points are being made here. One, Harkless wouldn't get the same minutes and given the surrounding cast of players, he would not get the same production as he has at St Johns. Second, there is no guarantee what DD would produce given th same minutes Harkless does but given the cast he would have at St Johns, his production has to be better than hs current output. My guess is it would be enough to generate enough buzz. Think Cleaveland Melvin. Maybe not at the lottery level, but Harkless isn't at that point either

If Daniels were as good, he'd be commanding the same minutes right now, bottom line. I think Daniels is a nice player and no doubt a polar opposite coaching style from Lavin an Co. I think if SJU had a PG and a center like Drummond, SJU would also run deep into the tourney. Semantics though. Its not going to happen.

Who would start over Harkless at UCONN at the small forward psoition? Daniels? Giffey? Roscoe?.

Harkless would be a guaranteed starter at UCONN playing 30 minutes a game same as he is at St. Johns and with him and Boat running the point this team would be a national champion guaranteed.

Guessing Prez was being sarcastic but how would you know that considering you're the master of the obvious during a horrible streak by the Huskies. Stay tuned magic.......

I have not been overly impressed by DD but if he had such a good week of practice why only give him 7 minutes of run? It's not like everyone else was picking up the slack.

Totally agree with this.....he misses a couple of jumpers and gets taken out only to never see the light of day again. I know we need those 4 rebounds from alex but maybe play smaller but with people who can guard. Then you have a better matchup with DD or Niels on Martin so Andre doesn't have to be out there while Alex is getting the crap kicked out of him by Keep a Cooley Baby!!

I knew he was being sarcastic just wanted to make a point. Considering I was right about my points 2 months in advance about Napier being a liability on defense and offense, right about Boatright, right about Daniels not being very good, right about Harkless, and all of this at the beggining of the season proves I have some magic when it comes to judging talent .

P.S. I still have hope we can get big wins at Georgetown and against Syracuse to save our season if Boatright starts every game from now on.
