Jordan Danberry has done a pretty fine job on Ionescu. A little spurt in the second where she gave up two easy ones, but not bad.

After the foul McCowan complaining to the ref that she's fouled on every play. She's becoming a real complainer.

With good reason. Hebard’s arms are all over her and it can be frustrating to deal with that every night. Bodying up a big isn’t okay if a big bodying up a smaller player isn’t okay.

Mississippi State wins by 15 in a game that’s pretty close for 3 quarters. Oregon is gassed by the 4th, MSU defense starts turning them over and the runout train begins. Ionescu has a great game (but not by her standards), nobody else for Oregon has a great or even good game. McCowan gets a double double, so does Howard (points/rebs for both). Espinosa-Hunter shoots 5 3’s and Bibby chips in with a few.. the MSU backcourt places substantial pressure on Oregon’s guards and they won’t be able to do much, buckling under pressure.

Different year, same script. I would love to be wrong and finally be able to believe in Oregon but this is what we see from them when they go up against quick and athletic teams. Surprise me, Ducks.

I'm gonna look at the positives.

We couldn't play much worse, they're shooting 65%, on the road at #7, and we're up 1 at half, I'll take it

Couple things... Ionescu is VERY tentative! Danberry has 2 fouls the start of the second quater and Sabrina didn’t bother to attack her but once! Sabally is a black hole right now, she isn’t scoring and she’s turning the ball over. Got to wonder why they haven’t went at McCowan with 2 fouls?!?!

Sabally is a hot and cold player. She either looks brilliant or non-existent from what I've seen. This is one of her "off" games.

S/O to Anriel Howard. She has made a few midrange jumpers that really helped MsSt keep pace with Oregon.

I think Howard is invaluable. Even if she misses, she is a bundle of energy and effort. A great role model for the team.
