Cam Spenser was behind the bench as wellNice to see AJax watching on in attendance. Can we get him to more games? Seemed to be a good luck charm.
Its not just shooting - profiling as an elite shooter. League average in the NBA is 36%. Solo is pushing 46% on almost 7 attempts a game. There’s plenty of guys that can shoot in the NBA. Can people still hang on with just that? Actually a legit question. Don’t watch enough NBA to know.
Has an underdog team ever won against a top 20 team on their home court, while having 25+ turnovers? A historic first? How the hell can a team win with 25 turnovers?
Like Cuse fans had with Ray AllenMarquette fans will have nightmares of this guy. View attachment 106700
OHH, GOODNESSS, ONIONS!!!Rashad had big hoop to send game to OT. I was there and pumped for hours. Solo with more hoops tonight but reminds many of us of Rashad.
What a night!
Love big game GusHow could anyone complain about Gus Johnson he was awesome, spoke very highly of Hurley and our team.
I couldn’t agree more, he has improved in many ways this seasonSamson continues to to grow even this late into his career. Continues to finish in more and more creative ways, playing better defense, fouling slightly less. And he's seemingly become a pretty reliable free throw shooter. We love to see it!
Cam Spencer was behind the bench as well
Solo is a better shooter than Hawk.I think so. Hawkins had a pretty stroke and we called him baby Ray but percentage wise Solo is killing it
It really is. It’s gotten to the point where if he gets a clean look, it feels like it’s going in. I did not think this was his profile coming out of HS.Ray shot 44.5% from 3 his sophomore year (46.6% his junior year). That was on 85/191 volume. Ball is at 45.6% on 67/147 after tonight.
Wild.
I believe Calhoun recruited Rashad specifically to shoot Syracuse out of their zone.[Rashad Anderson has entered the chat]
Ross was much better on defense tonight but I’d pump the brakes on the NBA talk. He’s still a non entity on offenseHave to mention Ross. Man he makes almost every shot hard for the man he is guarding. Looking into his junior year we may see something NBA level with him. He clearly has all the tools.
He is learning, on that drive late in the game he saw the pass and started the ball rotation while he was driving into the lane.
Stewie is an off the bench microwave player IMO. With Liam back Hurley has options do we need offense It’s Stewart, do we need defense it’s Ross. The pieces are starting to fit.
It pretty exciting if we can maintain this level.
Weird but your post made me think of the John Wick movie when the father of the son said John Wick is who you send when you want to kill the Boogeyman. This team is going places ! Watch out as Gus said at end of game
What a night!
Wish you loved the 'skies as much. You were so down on them in 2nd half.Love big game Gus
