If I'm a NBA team I make him a promise. Refine the D and the handle and you have a player. Can work on them more in the NBA instead of sitting in Anthropology 1000.

Have to mention Ross. Man he makes almost every shot hard for the man he is guarding. Looking into his junior year we may see something NBA level with him. He clearly has all the tools.

He is learning, on that drive late in the game he saw the pass and started the ball rotation while he was driving into the lane.

Stewie is an off the bench microwave player IMO. With Liam back Hurley has options do we need offense It’s Stewart, do we need defense it’s Ross. The pieces are starting to fit.

It pretty exciting if we can maintain this level.

As I predicted, Danny will make Solo Ball a lottery pick next year. Too much raw talent and a natural scorer. This game was never in doubt. With a normal number of turnovers, this is a 20+ margin.

I currently have UConn as a 3-seed with this victory. Let's go for the 3-Peat!!

First 18 minutes were fun. Then it was 22 minutes of don't f this away.
Solo Ball is trending towards "Dual Ball" the way he dropped a pair of deez nuts in Milwaukee tonight.
Johnson played his best game of the year tonight. Made all his FT's and that was huge.
Mahaney was unplayable, and unfortunately, that doesn't bode well for him against the Johnnies.
Stewart went full enigma wrapped in a mystery tonight. Started on fire and then he blinked. Fortunately his hot start made Marquette blink first.
AK seemed to have an "ah ha" moment realizing how hard it is to score when not surrounded by NBA talent tonight.
Ross's numbers weren't great but he had a huge settling impact on the game on both sides of the court.
Solo has 14 games of 3 or more made 3's. He's transitioning from a sniper to an assassin.
First 10 minutes showed the moment was bigger than Smart or his team.
Heckuva way to start February.

How could anyone complain about Gus Johnson he was awesome, spoke very highly of Hurley and our team.
Gus is an acquired taste, I think he clearly is better at basketball than football. His excitable style much more conducive to faster pace sports. That said he can over do it at times.

This of course, is gonna come across as hyperbolic, but I don’t know that I’ve seen a dagger player like solo since Kemba or Shabazz.
Boat and Adams hit some big shots too but I get what you’re saying. Those guys went all the way.

They showed that they could do that their sophomore years too like Solo. Junior year Solo can be special…. And he’s the most talented out of the group.

There’s plenty of guys that can shoot in the NBA. Can people still hang on with just that? Actually a legit question. Don’t watch enough NBA to know.

How the hell can a team win with 25 turnovers?
Yeah crazy. Marquette had 63 shots and UConn had 42. That's not a recipe that usually wins games. They shot 22 free throws and we shot 19. They only hit 12 and we hit 15. 12-19 from three must have been the difference. We also out rebounded them by 10 (36 to 26) which definitely helped also.

Going in the first depends on the Ball we see the rest of the season and how he does at the combine.

Ball is a sophomore who played little last year, so it is possible that we just witnessed the light coming on or (equally) that he needs another year to play with consistency.

Shaka’s defensive game plan on AK was wild. Even when he set a screen and tried to flare out of it to the wing, they were grabbing a handful of jersey so he couldn’t disengage. Shaka is just made for the BE and the way this league calls games. Every MU game I watch, I understand why he didn’t make it at Texas. This style just doesn’t play nearly as well outside of the BE.
tired hearing about Mitchell's D. He grabs and impedes on every play.
