Friars will make a run - just a question if they come all the way back or if the hole they dug is much too deep.
Well, the closest they got was 15, I believe.

Cooley (who BTW I actually like as a coach) definitely needs to step up his team's performance in "NCGs" (Not Close Games).

After last night's curbstomping, his record at Providence in games decided by 10 or more points vs. reasonable-quality conference opponents is a paltry 63-73 (46.3%)

In contrast, Hurley's UConn teams are 36-13 (73.5%).

Cooley now 63-74 (46.0%) in NCGs vs reasonable quality conference opponents. Woof.

Not sure it's good or bad facing them at MSG after this performance. They'll be embarrassed and angry. Or maybe it won't matter.
That is my worry too : (.

This margin has a good shot of bumping Seton Hall up to top 75, giving us another Q2 win and bumping a Q2 loss to a Q1 loss. They're 85 now, but this is a huge margin on the road.

Seems to be an appropriate saying after that slaying…

It needs to be stated again, UCONN’s OOC winning record saved the conference. Hopefully UCONN can carry the conference again
I'm likely to bet against the Big East a bunch in NCAA tournament.

Another beauty from the PeeCee thread: "UConn took this teams manhood away"
That’s actually kind of true. They haven’t been the same since. In the spirit of fairness they kinda knocked us on our heels at the beginning of our slide. They definitely out toughed us at the dunk. Seems like they are a whole different team now.

Luckily for us, it was early and we got off the mat and turned it around. This is a dangerous time for them. There are no easy games left for them to get the ship turned around again.

I’m at bar on CT/RI border. Sitting next to a nice PC fan. I’m trying to encourage him by reminding him we lost by 33 in last regular season game in 2014. He’s not buying it
UConn losing LVille is much different. LVille was a top 10 team and won the NC the year before and was a threat win the NC in 2014. SHall this year is a good team but nowhere near as good as LVille in 2014.

But A for effort on your part with the PC fan ☺️

Unless we win and Creighton loses, in which case we get the 3 seed.
Creighton should win but De Paul did beat Xavier in Chicago with Freemantle

The zone drove Providence nuts. They looked ill prepared to handle it. Frankly, they are a team that thrives on 1 on 1 basketball and feasting on the free throw line. Got none of that with the zone Seton Hall played. Food for thought on how to play them.
