March 17 Non-UConn games thread

I love the way Quinnipiac plays. Looks like they’ll advance to face the Huskies on Monday. That’ll be the end of the road for the Bobcats, but they should be very proud of their performance.

The ACC and SEC are supposed to be so brutal UConn wouldn't survive playing in them. Georgia and Miami really showing that's the case today.

Will UConn fans show up Monday? If not could be a neutral court game against Quinnipiac.

.-.
Forgot LSU got smacked by 11 seed Central Michigan today. The SEC: way more bark than bite.

Why is Miami fouling? Let the clock run, you aren't coming back from 13 down in 30 seconds. Weak.

Still fouling. 25 seconds left, it's gonna last another 10 minutes at this rate. Waive the white flag already coach.

.-.
Mercer on a 12-2 run...54-53 game. Under 5 minutes to go now against Georgia.

Good thing UConn walloped St Francis, gotta make sure Quinnipiac is intimidated.

This is a really great win for Quinnipiac. Miami is not a bad team, and now they're beating them two years in a row in the NCAA tournament. Quinnipiac played great help defense in the second half and Miami just missed a lot of shots. And on the other end, Quinnipiac just hit one tough shot after another.

Okay, finally gonna let the clock wind down. 86-72 final.

Georgia leads Mercer, 56-53..3:43 left. Mercer ball when play resumes.

.-.
Buffalo up almost 30. Did USF just flat out quit in the 2nd half? Embarrassing showing for them.

USF losing to Buffalo is an upset, but not so bad. The Buffs are a good team. Losing by 25 or so is an embarrassment, and not a particularly good advertisement for the AAC.

Not at all.

I still am convinced last years team fell down 17 to Mississippi State because of how poor the AAC prepared them.

I think South Florida was worried too much about being in UConn's bracket and not worried about who their opponent was.

Has UConn scored 100 against USF this year? Buffalo just did. Ouch.

.-.
For as much talent as South FL has they have really underperformed in the Tournament.

Ohio St. wins 87-45. Maybe they played some defense today?

Raise your hand if you correctly predicted both the men's and women's teams from Buffalo would win their 1st round games by 20+. Wow!

102-79 final against USF.

The only people worried about a USF - UConn matchup were in this board.

And they will complain loudly again the next time USF is in UConns bracket, even though they’ve yet to come close to playing each other.

Only 11 points for Mitchell today but 7 assists.
