What does any team get out of winning by 40 or 50

Winning team doesn't get much out of it. How can you quantify what the AQ teams get out of the experience of being in the Big Dance?

There are several new commercials w/ Samuel L. Jackson, Spike Lee and Charles Barkley. Those are kind of fun. I'm not even sure what they are selling, but they make me chuckle. Have you seen the one with the turtle rat?

They are selling the Men's NCAA tournament, they're on their way to the Final Four.

‘Nova hits consecutive threes to go up 6. SDSU chucking up bricks.

I actually paid attention last time, it's Capital One.

Then we go back to we can’t complain about blowouts but unless your team is winning no one wants to see that

Wowza! ‘Nova’s Hahn hits a three from 4 feet beyond the arc

Damned if you do, damned it you don't. I'm sticking w/ there's no point in being in D1 if you have no path or opportunity to be in the Tourney. But football drives everything, so a whole bunch of these schools are stuck being D1 that aren't going to be competitive in hoops. That's a whole 'nother conversation about whether they should be D1 football. Maybe eventually the Power 5 conferences are gonna freeze everybody else out in football and hoops, but that would leave UConn out in the cold as well.

Baylor: no Kristy Wallace, no problem.
Nova wins in OT. With 3s of course. Great game. Nova won't win the tournament, but so what.

I guess Dawn was correct in saying that they are the Underdogs. The way they are playing they might not get out of SC.

.-.
Maybe I should just let it go, but they mentioned again during the game that Kelly Graves is the only coach to ever take 2 different teams as double digit seeds to the Elite 8 (Gon zaga, Oregon). If you are good enough to win 3 games in the Tourney, you definitely belong. But there would be no double digit seeds if the field was 32. Also Stanford actually lost a 1st round game as a #1 seed once, so as unlikely as it is for a #16 to ever win a game, it actually happened.

I just heard the announcer state "the best player in college basketball"...Guess who she is talking about?

Yeah, so this South Carolina-NC A&T game is making my point for me. No way it should be this close, but it is.

.-.
I still this announcer saying Dawn or Don Staley?

Are South Carolina underdogs in this game? Probably according to Staley they are underdogs every time they take the court, regardless of the opponent.

.-.
A'ja has 5 blocks. I have only watched the last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter and the person she is guarding looks to be a foot shorter...only 5, what, did that player only take 5 shots?

She also has 5 turnovers and shot 6 for 15. She did go 7 for 7 at the line, only had 2 fouls called and about 8 that were not. Must be Refs that Dawn approved of that are calling the game.

That’s a wrap for the day. No more games. Being a WCBB junkie, why couldn’t they stagger the games instead of starting 3or 4 games at the same time? I mean they are going to show the Semi-finals of the BNP women’s tennis next, like this tournament wouldn’t get better ratings?

I didn't see them in their entirety and flipping back and forth between TV and Watch ESPN was confusing. But I certainly enjoyed:
DePaul - Oklahoma, when DePaul went cold and OK started to come back in the second half.
Virginia - California. Outcome in doubt until the end.
Minn. upsets G. Bay.
North Carolina A&T fighting back against an overconfident S. Car.
And, agreeing with Maria Taylor: Villanova - SDSU, game of the day.
And, extras: Harry w/out his comb-over; Natalie Chou getting to play again; Chennedy Carter chanelling Russel Westbrook.

Looking at the final score... looks like A&T put up some resistance. Glad to see they didnt get run out of the building.
