If you look at the 3 point chart, she's effectively the best 3 point shooter in the country as a function of # of 3 pointers made x percentage. She's not just shooting at a high percentage. She's shooting a lot of them also.
She’s 7th best in the country in 3 point fg%

Lou shows all the BB fans what 4 years of top notch BB brings to a player of Lou's caliber and her dedication to the game. And why she transitioned so easy into Uconn's system of playing. Lou would have done as well where ever she had chose to go. Talent like cream, will always rise to the top. GO LOU!!! GO HUSKIES!!!

Lou is also much much better on defense. Watch the replay of the game yesterday; she's not getting beat much and is managing her fouls much better. She's reduced her turnovers a lot. She's doing all this while playing all 40 minutes. So glad this thread is giving her the kudos she deserves.

Lou's rankings before the Xavier game is 5th in 3-point percentage, at .507. Only 6 players are at .500 or better about 40% of the way into the season. The top player is Brynna Maxwell of Gonzaga at .540. Lou could move into 2nd place with a couple of hot games. Go, Chica!

Her .966 FT shooting would also place her 5th if she had enough attempts to qualify. Interestingly, Maxwell also leads the nation here, with .979 (46 of 47). Brynna Maxwell is a drop-dead shooter. So is Chica!

Well, Chica appears to be fighting off her cold. She had 19 points on 8-9 shooting. Her current percentages: .505/.506/.966. Basically, 51/51/97. Insane! She's now 2nd in the nation in 3-point shooting.

I used ESPN's initial box score, in which Lou shot 3-4 from the arc. The final box shows her with 20 points and 4-5 from the arc. That makes her 3-point shooting .512, even a little better. She's #2 in the nation.

Considering the schedule they've played, which player in the country would you prefer to have shoot 3's other than Lou and Azzi? We keep knocking off teams with 14-1 type records.

Amazing shooting. It truly is a pity that we won't be able to see Lou, Paige and Azzi playing at the same time next year. That would be one of the best shooting teams from the perimeter of all time. Historic. What fun that would have been.

To put things in perspective, KML, who many consider the best 3-point shooter at UConn and in wcbb history, shot at a little over 48% clip over her career, with a season best of 52%. So Lou is in rare air. I also think Lou has a better all around game.

Louuuuuuuuuu! Nika is still assists leader, too.

From NCAA Statistics For the record, Lou is 39th in the country for 3 point field goals made with 2.69. Since she’s averaging 16.9 points a game, that speaks to her versatility

Is there any...ANY...good reason why Lou shouldn't be on the 2024 French Olympic team?
Gabby could take Lou under her wing :)

If Geno keeps recruiting international players, the European national teams could have as many UConn players as the U.S. team.

Thanks to @MilfordHusky for keeping this thread alive. Lou will have some ups and downs as the season progresses, but I'm sticking with her through thick and and thin cause she's a bucket and a half!

With Fudd back, she will get the opponents best perimeter defender going forward, allowing Lou to improve on her already impressive numbers.

Thanks. As a reminder--Lou has started every game, which is very important this year! In addition, Lou has scored in double-figures every game, showing she is rather consistent. And she has managed a sore foot and head cold along the way. A great addition!

Yes, every game I'm on the edge of my seat until she gets that bucket that puts her at 10 or more points. I really want her to go the entire season with DD's in every game. We'll see. A great addition indeed.

Chica had a mediocre shooting day against Georgetown, as did pretty much everyone. She was 5-13 overall and 2-7 from the arc. She did manage double-figures scoring, as she has in every game.

Tonight against Seton Hall, she was a bit sharper, 6-15 overall, 2-3 from distance, but only 1-2 from the line (shocking!). Her 17 points were comfortably into double-figures.

Her season totals are now .491/.500/.939. Her 3-point shooting is 2nd in the nation, behind only Brynna Maxwell of Gonzaga. Still a bucket!

OMG, Bro! Lou was 3-4 on FTs tonight. Sorry.
