Is it wrong that I want him wearing his Bama gear while out on the trail recruiting for us??
I think this might truly be the first time considering we officially had the worst defense in FBS history..How many times have we said that?
I'm with you bro....Is it wrong that I want him wearing his Bama gear while out on the trail recruiting for us??
Here’s to hoping he can recruit. Impressive resume.
I would imagine this will give our recruiting a needed boost as well.

We've all been. Doesn't mean you encourage dropping the damn program.I've been down of UConn football lately but happy with this hire.
From what I’ve seen that is the one down side - he really hasn’t spent a ton of time in his career actually recruiting BUT he brings credibility to the table of putting kids into NFL and he has coached some incredible talent along the way (College/NFL) that will open doors.

It doesn't really matter, does it? Teams run sub packages 80% of the time. The biggest change Spanos can bring is technique and philosophy. Are his defenses read/react or attacking? How much cushion on the edge? Zone or man?Read he's more of a 3-4, guy. Wonder if that will be the D going forward. If so, we'd have come full circle from 3-3-5, to 4-3, to 3-4, in three years. That would be impressive.
Louuuuuu

Tackling is vital no matter the base scheme."Well try something else. I mean one of them has to work."
I don't like or not like it. The reason why. I liked coach P and didn't realize the game had passed him by. I liked coach D and didn't realize he couldn't coach or develop players. I am glad they filled the position and will reserve judgement.

Profound Trauma (Vegetative vagal/parasympathetic shut down.) Repeated mental trauma will completely shut down an individual until they feel no emotional stake in the things that happen around them. This shut down condition is called dissociation. While the brain continues to respond in minimal ways, the individual may no longer recognize that they are present or that these events (game day) are happening to them. This is the way I feel.
OhhhhhhhhhCeeeeeeee
Great to hear some good words from his past bosses. Some great quotes from his former Head Coaches. All sound very positive...seems like HCRE 2.0 has made a very good hire!
"He is a great teacher of the game and it is very important to him that his players find success. He brings toughness and physicality to everywhere he has coached."
"He had an immediate and profound impact on the UCLA football program and our student athletes as our defensive coordinator. Lou is a great communicator, a creative football mind... who will embrace the vision of Coach Edsall and UConn football."
- Mike Mularkey, former Tennessee Titans head coach
"Lou is a heck of a football coach... who players instantly follow and listen to and his knowledge of the game is very impressive. Perhaps his best quality is his ability to relate to players and that is of the utmost importance. This is a great hire by UConn."
- Jim Mora, former UCLA head coach
- Mike Shanahan, Two-time Super Bowl Champion head coach
