He's leaving. I'll be very surprised if he stayed.

If he had made the decision to stay, news would've leaked this morning that he had turned the Lakers down.

Instead we have the news held up to talk to the players.

Uh, quite the opposite, if he's made the decision to leave the Lakers wouldn't be capable of not leaking the news and taking the attention away from the Finals that they're not participating in.

He's not leaving, they're working out the specifics on his new deal. Once its all finalized AD David Benedict wants a press conference as a way to showcase how he was able to retain DH as coach. If he really wanted the LA job he'd be gone by now. Now if this thing keeps getting pushed back that means they can't agree on a new contract then we might have a problem
