Please share the extensive footage you've watched to draw these conclusions.
Williams could've been playing in the Big 12, ACC, and Pac12, besides the offer from UConn.

Let these kids actually wear the jersey before you spout off on their limitations.

How do you know this? Oregon doesn't tend to offer basketball scholarships to guys who aren't basketball players.
 
A reasonably prudent person could make an argument that the University of Connecticut just added to their roster the best "Slam Dunker" (thanks Chick Hearn) not just in the United States of America but the entire Universe. The Universe is pretty all encompassing the last I checked.

With this in mind I am going to simply enjoy for the moment this addition to our roster. To have the best "Slam Dunker" that has ever walked the face of the earth adds needed excitement that this fan was craving.

I know this kids goal is to take a penny off the top of the backboard. That is worth paying to see.

Vital has proven himself and is 6'2 and a shooting guard who can play off the ball that fits with Jalen better. Gilbert is coming off major surgery and requires the ball in his hand a lot to be effective which he won't be able to do with Jalen being alpha dog next year.

I like Gilbert but he's a big question mark at this point. He needs to show he can play off the ball like Vital and defend. There is no reason to rush the guy when Vital is a proven player.

PS: Kwin is no 12th man on this roster. This isn't UConn 2006 roster. For me with his elite athleticism and size/strength he is our starting 4 man no question about it. Kwin is a huge boost to our team. People have to guard him or he will dunk and rebound all over them. He can be our Gary Clarke neutralizer.

Solid get this late in the year, you can't teach athleticism, and this kid has got that with capital A. I can't wait for some Sticks-esque dunks this season. It's also been awhile since we've had someone who could jump on the offensive end to give us some 2nd chances. Hope Ollie and Chill are hunting for one more player for this year.

and you are positive on this because you have seen the kid play complete games how many times?

With this many new faces (especially this late in the game) I really hope we take a preseason international trip if possible. Gotta be ready for the start of the season.

I have no idea how good this kid is, but at this late date, if we can get some minutes out of this kid this year and keep him for the next three years, it's a solid add.

He's been out in the wilderness for a few years in some weird prep schools and junior colleges...get him on campus, get him into the weight and conditioning program and he likely becomes more athletic than he is now. He's got a good frame - he's 215 pounds now, but he's got room to grow.

We'll see. Chill seems excited - let's see.

I'd say Cobb gets more minutes, and it's unlikely this kid beats out Diarra for minutes, or even Carlton. Plus we have a grad transfer from Cornell at C. Did everyone forget? That's not a knock. He's a project athlete that has a lot of potential. But we now have what, seven guys who play the 4 or 5, not counting Larrier.

None of us have. But I think Diarra and then Carlton are probably the two highest skill guys. Diarra has a year in the program even if he couldn't play. The kid from Cornell is most experienced and biggest. Is it a stretch that he starts at the 5? Cobb has played more than Williams. Whaley? Who knows. I just think anyone who assumes that this guy is a starter is doing so with no basis in fact.

Thinking exactly the same. Can't tell if I like him to maybe have a couple of more inches, but I think in about a year from now, we have our 4 man until he leaves. He does everything a 4 should. Rebound and get til ins and dunks like crazy. He also doesn't look scared of anything which is a prerequisite. Work on the body and a little jump shot and he's a really really good get. I can see why chills is happy about this pick up. Reminds me of the type of upside players we used to get.
 
Nice to add balance to the classes. We now have what, 3 sophomores, 2 juniors, 1 senior and 6 freshman?

Have to love the frame and athleticism. All he needs to do is catch and dunk. The former may be in dispute based on some of that tape but we shall see.
 
Not sure if posted yet, but here are quotes from the NHR piece on Kwintin Williams:

Williams boasts out-of-this-world athleticism. He said his vertical leap is currently at 44 inches, and he hopes to get it to at least 48 inches at some point.

"It's the hunger and aggression I play with, that always helps," he said. "Some people jump occasionally, I jump all 40 minutes. The whole game, I'm in there getting it done. The drive, energy as well as the aggression to win, or get to the ball, is what I bring to the floor. Not everybody jumps for every rebound. That's a big part of my game - put-backs and tip-ins."
