I really love to see Park-Lane play. She is so much fun to watch, and they say she is 5'6"?

Nice pic!

She is fun to watch but if she's 5-6 I'm the Jolly Green Giant. :D

It's all about matchup flexibility. KK is quick. She could end up an Ari Macdonald type.

Quickness over height every time for me (other things equal). She will be a matchup nightmare for every team, not only score but dish as well and create opps for teammates. She will create TOs as well. They will figure the defense out. Great player...better/taller than dangerfield, who was really good and we came close to winning it all with her.

 Was there a Geno twitter rant after seeing a recruit (Allegedly Arike) that cause CD to take away Geno's twitter. BTW that was great move by CD- people like Geno with out filters should not be on social media.

This is a joke right? Or are we making stuff up? I don’t know fact from fiction on this board anymore.

KK is a great addition hopefully her game will be slot like Henderson’s regardless of size we need kids that play with an attitude and a chip on their shoulders. We seem to have to many thin frail sweet little girls who dance good on Tic Toc and NIL advertisements. I think Patterson will give us that same edge this team badly needs as well. The women’s game has become a clog the lane in your face D game we have to adjust. Great shooters can’t score if they can’t get freed up to shoot.

As I don't follow the recruiting thread religiously, I have a big request. Can someone in a fit of inspiration provide a one- or two-sentence summary of what makes KK Arnold a special recruit?
she an aggressive point guard that constantly attacks the paint who can score with contact and dish to open shooters check out her high school tape. She can also dribble in tight spaces translation she can handle pressure defense not by dribbling through it but attacking it notice how Zia Cooke attacked Uconn's pressure. Uconn currently only has one guard with that trait Paige. KK does not have Paige's shooting ability but I predict in Paige's senior year she will be on the floor with Paige to offer another ball handler. She the type of Guard Uconn needs because all our other guards are basically shooters who need help to get open KK can create her own offense..I hoped that help even tho it's more than 2 sentences ..lol

Thin frail girls who dances on tic tok ...You must be talking about Paige who btw is the only player on Uconn with an attitude Ok Nika has one but only Paige has the game to back it up. It's not tic tok or NIL that's holding us up it's what you referred to the lack of having that attitude when you play. Zia Cooke has it and it showed against us

Both Cooke and Henderson are short, but lightening quick. They do an excellent job for S.C., especially when they share the ball.

In that pic with Geno, KK looks about 5'8", definitely not 5'6". More speculation and info to come.

When did she visit Uconn? I don't remember hearing about a visit from her.

Very, very few people outside of the staff know when or if a kid visits UConn unless the kid puts it all over social media. The exception of course is the First Night function. Or as the above post points out they attend a exhibition or regular season game.

Unless our intrepid BY sleuths/stalkers observe their presence and start snapping photos with their smartphones. ;)

I do wonder if she gave Geno a verbal on that visit November 7...and just wanted to wait for a specific day [for a personal reason] to go public. Her mention of the November 22 date came just a couple of days after her visit [I think].
We do have some high profile opponents coming here in December...ND/UCLA/Louisville. Hopefully we will see some targets in prime-time seats at those games. I do not know about our chances of getting elite guard Williams away from the south but an appearance at a game up here might be a nice omen. Hope Ciera drops by again as well....her multi-faceted inside/outside abilities would be more than welcome come the 2023-2024 season.

I'd love to hear any word from The Horde about staff trips to check out targets after their Thanksgiving break.

I don’t think she seems that short, she’s definitely taller than 5’6. She looks like she could be 5’8 and still has time to grow.
Geno is not 5'8"...anymore.

She should be fun to watch.

View attachment 71283Based on this picture from a visit to UCONN, it’s apparent that KK is the same height as Geno unless my eyes deceive me.

I'm using this as my best assessment. I believe that Geno was 5'9" in his youth and may be closer to 5'8" now (it happens to all of us, including me). I'm putting KK at One Full Hartley Unit! Now known as the Hartley-Arnold Unit. :D

Every height has an advantage and disadvantage. I'm certain after all these years of success that she has figured that part out. She solidified my excitement (again) when she posted up TWO players. That quickness makes me giggle.

I bet there's an analysis of her game somewhere on the BY, but I see the following:

Great change of direction

Nice hesitation move

Excellent handle

Weaves through traffic

Nice pull-up jumper

Good form on her shot (percentages are mediocre but improved from 9th grade to 10th grade).

Good anticipation on defense

Runs the floor well--very quick but also rather fast

Loves UConn.

I think the coaches, teammates, and practices will turn her into a polished diamond.
