At which point the BiG and SEC representatives will hit the representatives from the BigXII and ACC in the back of the head with a chair the moment they turn around.

Committees like this are usually pretty helpful for......well.......absolutely nothing......

It's a trap!

They bring them there and Luca Brasi takes out the piano strings. If it is on Amelie Island, easy to dispose of the bodies.

Sankey and Petitti consider The ACC and Big 12 as much a part of their power structure as a HS Basketball Team Considers the assistant coach's 7 year old son a member of the team. Yeah, he might have a uniform and sit on the bench but...

Yikes, the Sun Belt West schools, athletic programs, states, etc make rapidly growing Texas State’s decision to go new Pac conference easier to understand.

Yikes, Maine and URI of the past quality regional Yankee Conference to a quality CAA Conference to now an increasingly struggling to survive conference inviting Sacred Heart.

For SHU, a conference upgrade albeit a likely further football financial drain. Tiny stadium, negligible if any media revenues, possible sunk costs publicity. Anyone have any insights on how SHU rationalizes its football program’s existence, resulting required increase in Title IX funding, etc.?

This is what happens when some of your best members upgrade to FBS or move to the Patriot League.

I read a rumor elsewhere that the southern schools might be on their way out.

Don't SHU have rich donors or was that just for the Hockey arena?

More than rumor, fact. Football at Bill & Mary and Richmond, and also Nova each off to the Patriot League. Delaware to CUSA. Ex-Yankee/Atlantic 10/CAA umess to Tuesday night MACtion.

Others? Looks like UNH and Rhody still have the pleasure of gridiron games with similar Campbell, Charleston, NC A&T, Elon, Hampton, Towson St, Monmouth, SUNY Stony Brook, SUNY Albany, and now Sacred Heart which escaped the NEC and newby NEC lesser UNH.

FWIW, CAA has UConn women’s crew adding value as an associate member for at least another year or so

Elon and Campbell bum rushing the door to the SoCon is one of my next dominoes.

I’m talking about further south.

  • UNC and the SEC have shared values. When UNC president Peter Hans sought to explain the recent UNC debacle where athletes were found not to have attended classes. SEC conference commissioner Greg Sankey commented "Your mistake was bothering to schedule classes at all. No classes, no classes to miss."

Memphis had tutors doing the homework for their athletes. The SEC thinks they are inefficient try hards.
